New Computer.

Post by jp92214 »

I currently run TS on a Lap Top which I think is getting a bit long in the tooth, and am thinking of going to a Desktop Gaming PC

Any thoughts, comments etc on the following would be much appreciated.

Stormforce Tornado Model 7290-5333.
Intel i5 7400 3.0GHz (with turbo boost)
OS. W10.
RAM 16GB.
HD Cap. 1TB.
128GB SSD.

Graphics.
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
6GB Memory.

Thanks.

That's a grand spec, in terms of being future ready it shouldn't cost a great deal to up your RAM to 32Gb with an eye on where TSW/TS2 may lead if you have it.

Thanks for the info. I only have TS at the moment, not interested in TSW, until they come out with more UK stuff. Why a British company put out s brand new rail sim with a US route beats me.

I think I will go and spend some money!!

Thanks again.

Because they sell more to a larger audience in the US would be the answer I'd guess with, they do have about 8 times the population we do, and a lot of UK and Europe based enthusiasts may still have purchased it (such as me). Most likely about getting a good return on the outlay for software etc that they've made.
