I like the way a train gets posed in a position it would never be - aka the 158

Peter
Didn't 158s run from Manchester up to Glasgow on Cross Country services back when they were new? Of course this likely ended before the Voyages came along, but still...
They did indeed, and going nowhere near Crewe! The route was through Salford, Bolton and meeting the WCML at Euxton Junction, more than 40 miles north of Crewe.

Right. I wasn't aware of the exact routing, although I guess in the BR days, they wouldn't have used DMUs if the entire routing had been over electrified track.

I'm pretty sure that in previous years these releases were at around 18:00-19:00 GMT.

Last news I saw was for today, but traditionally it's released at 18.00 local UK time.

It's up but I can't see any way to buy, Steam warns I already have it & there seems to be no upgrade deal yet ...

XC never owned 158s. I also hope Armstrong Powerhouse will extend support of their 175EP and 221SP very soon.

My TS2017 installation has auto-upgraded to TS2018, version 60.1b - there's an updated menu system but nothing too drastic. However, I cannot see any way (yet) of buying the Crewe - Llandudno route.

You need to buy ts 2018 to get the north wales route there was a bug (which is now fixed) that meant current owners of ts couldn't buy it again

I just bought TS18 solely for the Crewe - Llandudno route, at £25 you wern't going to get the route itself any cheaper as DTG routes these days tend to go for between the £20-25 mark, so I see it as buy 1 route get 2 routes free :D
Cheers, Robert :)
