He didn't say which route, but the fact he mentioned Haywards Heath tells me it's the route I'm intending to backdate - London to Brighton!

Can't say I'm bothered as to what's included in terms of routes /rolling stock, just wish they could sort out the tile loading stutter as the sim would be playing silky smooth on my rig if it wasn't for that but as it hasn't been addressed in previous releases I'm guessing it's just not possible with the way the game engine works.

The sim is smooth 98% of the time, when no tiles are being loaded that is, that other 2% when the video stutters while lots of new assets appear is annoying, highly detailed routes are the worse offenders of course. Tile loading stutter might not bother some but it does me, just a shame it can't be sorted in the game engine and eliminated. TSW plays great in that respect, nice and smooth, just a shame about the bugs.

What are your frame rates just prior to a tile loading?

It would be nice if DTG Fixed the faults for the Scenarios they give with DLC. :x

Bought the MLV 419 and tried the South Croydon to London Bridge.
All going well until I arrive in P9 at LB and two coaches from the block the scenario Crashes.
Speedo shows 1.$ and froze/crash.

And this fault has been around since the SLN was introduced.

Peter

EDIT - reported to DTG
General Information

Ticket ID #ZBV-661-27948
Type Issue
Priority Normal

Subject: London Bridge Platform Fault

Having purchased the 419 EMU in the recent Sale I though I would run a career scenario to learn the differences
So I chose [MLV] Part 1: Brighton to London Bridge Parcels

Everything was fine until arriving at London Bridge where the train was routed in to P9.
Part way down the platform about two coaches from the buffers the Scenario crashed with the speedo showing 1.$ mph.

Platform 9 is not the only platform this happens in with similar crashes in other platforms.

It would be nice if an update to the South London Network was introduced.

It isn't an issue with the scenario itself but one with South London Network, although there was a core fix about a year ago that fixed this for a lot of people but (not directly fixing the bug, but just happened to fix it at the same time as something else), for some reason, the issue has come back for some people. It's not a case of fix it, the crash doesn't happen with everyone, the issue with this bug is that no one actually knows what is causing it. It could be a dodgy bit of scenery or it could just be resources (something that pushes it over the limit).

(I agree that it is something that should be fixed but its hard to fix something without knowing what causes it :) - people have mentioned buffers but it isn't that)
(Note - this post is of my own opinion)

Thanks Danny for the reply.

I will delete the route and let Steam re acquire the route as the latest version and see if that cures my platform problem.

So, I'm not going to post up pictures or anything revealing other than feeding the forums live for potential guesswork :-)

I went to NRM York today where Matt P was showing off a pre-release build of NWC. One thing I was curious about was that the Class 221 has a tilt system fitted with working in-cab isolation - this is the guesswork bit...

Being as no part of the NWC has TASS fitted, surely they wouldn't bother developing tilt UNLESS they are planning another WCML route for it to run with?? How about Euston to zrugby of Crewe to Preston.

I think you could safely say that DTG would get roundly abused if they didn't implement tilt in the 221. Sadly, since it's DTG, they are likely to get abuse no matter what they do.

Why not develop it? Just because the unit has been made for the NWC route doesnt mean it cant/wont be used on other routes such as WCML North, South & Trent Valley...

Is it just the 221 they are doing or are they also doing the 220 which I believe does not have tilt and are XC units?

They've already done the 220:
