I look forward to ordering an 812 when I can!

Am I right in thinking it doesn't include any stock, or does it include the CR Wagon Pack? I already have the latter, so if it's included in the 812 pack is a discount offered for existing purchasers? If not it's not a problem, but I am a little short of cash currently so every penny saved helps!

I look forward to both the Radial and the E4, although I would much prefer the latter in original (GER) condition. Still, the rebuilt condition is what you need for Stainmore!

May I ask how far off the Adams is?

I will end up doing the GER condition E4s at a later date. The Radial right now is in scripting, it will be for awhile as we are developing some new scripts for it.

I plan on releasing some smaller loco packs in between the big releases as well. Engines that were either one offs, smaller classes and didnt always make it to BR. That way people have something to play with while waiting. Engines from all railways, not just CR.

This sounds intriguing! I noticed some nice models you've done for other CR locos, including 0-4-0ST's (We need those!) and possibly some LSWR stuff in there too...

The LBSCR B1 would fit the 'didn't make it to BR' category... I can but dream!

Anyway, Kris, you'll have a PM shortly!

I have just received a reprint of the 1953 Darlington area working timetable as was thinking of some scenario possibilities when it struck me again that there are no suitable local passenger engines. So if you fancy casting your eyes up north a G5 would be very welcome :D ! Someone suggested using an M7 on the Middleton branch but if you suggested using a J50 on the Falmouth branch you would be lynched!

I'd love to get my hands on that!

Hmmm... I suppose an M7 is all you can really use! We don't really have 0-4-4T's in TS, and an IOW O2 would hardly meet the bill.

Well there is the N2 but they spent most of their life in the London area. I use a J50 but it isnt correct as they didnt Haul passenger trains, at least they were native to the area.

If you backdate your period you may just be able to justify one:
Between 1931 and 1932, Newcastle had three of the ex-Scottish N2s. These spent some of their time at Gateshead hauling the Sunderland to Blackhill services, but proved to have inadequate water capacity for the 47 mile run. All three had been transferred back to Scotland by June 1933.
https://www.lner.info/locos/N/n2.php

An N2 is, in some ways, a better bet than a J50 as it's a passenger tank which is probably more capable of the workings you would appear to be rostering than a J50 would be. It also provides some variety!

I have in my assets an MSTS conversion of an A5, A8 and G5 plus others that were modeled by a good friend of mine. He gave me permission to do whatever I wanted to do with them. I did pass them down the line to two other fellow Rail Simmers to see if they could improve them as compared to most stuff out there they are basic. But they work, make a noise and produce steam. I will not release them in their present state so please don't ask.

Regards, John.

I've had a good read of the manual for the CR 812. Is there anyway to drive it in simple mode? Otherwise it is not for me. I'm only interested in driving it, nothing else. Victory Works, SSS and other loco producers give you the option of advanced or simple.

Hi John, I have bought and run the 812 on several of the scenarios, using just the "F4" set-up and while I normally have the "game" set at "Expert" and found it as easy to drive as the original Black 5 and other of the earliest steam locos, anyway to be sure it would suit yourself or anyone else, I decided to change the gameplay to "Simple" and "Auto Fireman".
It works just fine using the mouse on the "Up" for forward and "Down" for reverse. Then to get the Headboard I just pressed the "H" key.
Note. I forgot to load my passengers at Stranraer

RolandBP, I drive F4 so it appears to be suitable for my uses. Thanks for the head(boards) up,

Cheers John, pleased to be of some assistance.
I feel sure this little loco will get quite a bit of use once it gets noticed.

New announcement today! CR Class 600 0-8-0 is due to be released on Friday!

I believe this is part of a series of more 'Niche' locos due for release between now and the radial, so (I wonder) what's next?

I may need to do a Caley route instead of an LBSCR one...
