Hi Guys

I have been running V3 of the above route for a while now, and enjoying it.

Today, I received an email from SSS inviting me to download an UPDATE to the route. There was no other information, but I thought I would download the huge update and see if there is any information included which would tell me what had been updated ?

So I downloaded the update, but havent yet installed it. However there doesnt seem to be ANY information about installing the update, or more to the point, what the update actually updates ?

Can anyone tell me if its worthwhile installing please ?

They confirmed they made a mistake, it is NOT an update, as long as you aleady have v3 installed.

But there WILL be an update in a few days time, when there will be another email for a fresh download

Thanks for the clarifications, I was about to install v3, but noted it had the same version number as the previous v3, but still wondered if it had been updated and had not been given a new version number.

as i read it because there was something wrong with the original download for this and the Manor update,they won't allow any new updates to install to them,so unless you down load and install the 2 mentioned in the email,you wont be able to install any new updates to them

Can someone from SSS please post on here, what they mean by their message on their Facebook page relating to the recent email many of us have had ? The message when FULLY read, is contradictory !

If you read the comments on the Facebook post, you will see that I asked the question . . . hence the explanation above. Basically, ignore the email from a couple of days ago, as long as you already have v3 installed. And await an update which will come out in the near future.

It seemed to mention that unless you install THIS LATEST download of the V3 Route, then you will be unable to update the route when the next full update comes out !

I havent installed the latest download so I will delete that from my downloads folder and await the new update arriving.

No - I think what they are saying is that unless you DOWNLOAD the old version, their (new) system will not know to notify you of updates. You can delete it once downloaded because it won't differ to what you have. Funny old world . . .

Me? I'll wait until the new version comes out - I am sure somebody will shout about it here.

Hi Guys

I know I have probably asked this before, but can anyone advise how to install the latest update to this route, that SSS have emailed their customers about ? Can you just copy and paste the folders into the present folders, overwriting any files that need it ?

Have you looked at the "Readme First" inside the z.zip file (Wycombe Railway and Joint Line V3.1.zip\Wycombe Railway and Joint Line\Route Package\Readme First.txt).

The instructions are only 2 lines long...
