Would the class 50’s have often visited the Riviera line during the time the locos in this pack were still in service?

The first Class 50 at Laira that I have recorded in an old logbook is 400 on 6 Jan 74.

The Class 50s were introduced on the BR Western region as direct replacements for the Class 52 Westerns when they were withdrawn. By that time, all of the Warships and many of the Hymeks had already gone (other than those destined for preservation).

I'm not home yet but I've had second hand info that the Warship is modelled by bossman games, it has working DSD, the doors open, and is a good sound set too.

Can't wait to get home.

Just three scenarios included... doesn't sound like nearly enough to enjoy all those filthy hydraulics, so all you scenario creators, please can we have lots using just Riviera 50s and this pack, pretty please? Maybe the odd Kuju 37 and 47 for scenery, if you must...

To my eyes, they have the Warship just right. The nose is, I understand, notoriously difficult to model accurately and I don't think either of the previous versions got close to this one.

I'll be busy tonight, either running the new scenarios or swapping original loco models for these in existing scenarios.

I have a couple of old scenarios using previous releases of the hydraulics which I will try and modify.

It will be worth keeping an eye on the workshop as I'm sure some will be released there.

I must say, they've made an effort with the smoke/clag - maybe influenced by Matthew's clag pack for the earlier Western model?

A selection of them all together, even idling, make an impressive sight. Looking good!

Looking forward to arriving home from work this afternoon and firing up the download and having a good look over these.

Fantastic value for money though, Class 35 in 6 skins with the different weathering (I find weathering harder than reskins so justified comparison), Class 42 in 3 skins (maybe more later) and Class 52 in 9 skins. Then you get 6 Mk1 carriages in two different liveries.

Can't wait.

Engine sounds are ok - the 35 is a bit dodgy. All the horns need working on.
The 52 is very sluggish with a light load in tow
Hours of more enjoyment on the Western region now

Currently loading the warship scenario... looking forward to having something else on the riviera line. Good for Glorious Devon too...
Also, I can't wait to take one for a spin on the 1950's/60's version of the GWML. Add some decent steam freight, maybe a Blue Pullman, some Southern at Reading, some Midland at Oxford, and you have the makings of a fantastic scenario! One thing I always include in my Riviera Line scenarios is some Southern AI from Exeter Central, be it an M7 on a local passenger or a Bulleid on an express. I normally try and use more basic freeware models for AI to keep framerates reasonable, and then use proper models for the player consists.

You can have the M7 at Reading, Exeter, and Plymouth along with the S15,and both versions of the West Countries,also some Adams O2's as well at Exeter and Plymouth,on Glorious Devon Route

I can Remember that some Warships were transferred to the Southern,and were used on Waterloo-Salisbury-Yeovil-Exeter,not sure if the went beyond Exeter on the Tarka route to Plymouth via Oakhampton,this route is WIP by DP simulations,it's addon to the Glorious Devon Exeter-Plymouth Route.

I thought these would all been reworked from a certain developer we are not allowed to name.

Can anyone advise if the sounds are any better than the default class 52, and do all the models have separate cab sounds?
