I agree with the sentiment, but changing a number does not require the use of RW Tools--it's all done in-game.shinymac wrote:However, I am somewhat dissappointed that DTG are seriously expecting EVERYONE buying their pack, has a knowledge of how to use RW Tools !
Easy one first....Hymeks weren't named, so all you have in the properties box when you double click a loco in the scenario editor is something long the lines of:shinymac wrote: how do I provide names and numbers for the Class 42 Warships, and the Class 35 Hymeks ?

...the number followed by the headcode.
The Warships are numbered in ythe same manner...loco number, then a letter/symbol for the name, and lastly the headcode.

Copy that list to a text document, then when you need/want to change a Western's number just highlight the number and odd symbol in the .txt document, right click and choose 'copy'.
Then into the game, place the desired loco, double click to bring up the properties, highlight the number and symbol in the properties box with your mouse and press the Ctrl and V keys on your keyboard. This pastes that copied number and symbol over the one the game has automatically selected.
If you like typing and can't do with copying and pasting then the weird symbols (OK, they're accents over vowels) are produced by a couple of methods.
Acute accents are simply just a case of holding down the Alt Gr key whilst typing the vowel......á é í ó ú Á É Í Ó Ú
Other accents are done by holding down the Alt key and typing a numerical code ...... à (Alt + 0224) for example----table showing the numbers is at http://sites.psu.edu/symbolcodes/codehtml/#accent
