Re: WR Hydraulics
A fix for the full yellow maroon Class 52 reskin is now available via here:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/4ct71pk4 ... _files.zip
ONLY use this if you have already installed the AP Class 52 audio pack after it's most recent update to cover the Western Hydraulics DLC,

Re: WR Hydraulics
Hi
Just wondering if it's me but the brakes on the 52 seem to be lousy? I tried to slow down before Newton Abbott but the train finally stopped under the over bridge at the Plymouth end of the station,I was using the VP MK1 maroon coaches as they look better than the ones supplied with the route, the loco was was Richards full yellow front maroon 52,with the updated AP sound pack.
I would think the Maroon 52's and the BR Maroon MK1's would have been vacuum braked,I think the MK!'s were converted to air braked in the 1970's

Re: WR Hydraulics
Something is lurking around the corner for the hydraulic pack, most of the painting is now pretty much complete on the loco department.

Never in the field of BR diesels was anything as gorgeous as the Western. Just my opinion, of course.

I don't know what it is about them, but they seem to have a kind of magic that other diesels don't have.
The only other loco that comes close for me is the MetroVic class 28. The odd bogie arrangement and the maudlin windows give it a kind of underdog charm.
Re: WR Hydraulics
Where are my manners?
I forgot to say a huge thank you to everyone working to add more fun and detail to this pack.
Thank you very much for your hard work.

Hi Chaps
I have just bought and downloaded this pack, and done some swapping about in RW Tools, replacing older models.
Can anyone tell me how to choose which number Class 52 I drive ? I cant see anything in the manual for the Class 52 but thought you could give it your own loco number ?
Cheers
Derek

Re: WR Hydraulics
Like any other loco Derek, in the scenario editor double click the loco to bring up it's properties box. In there you'll see the number...
1022w1C37
1022 gives the number (obviously)
the w denoted the name (in this case Western Sentinel)
and 1C37 is the headcode that's displayed.
Unfortunately there's no list in the manual to show which number matches which name (letter or symbol) so you'll have to experiment and wait until somebody has chance to supply a comprehensive listing.

Re: WR Hydraulics
Well done Gary.
Although I suspect those dodgy looking symbols from D1060 onwards will take a bit of working out!
Regards,
Paul

Re: WR Hydraulics
That sounds like the scripting glitch in game, whereas the brake types don't match, so you end up with loco brakes only! Try with the coaches that come with the WR pack and see if it improves? Does the AP soundpack alter any physics ? Maybe that's had an impact.michaelhendle wrote:Hi

I had the same the other day running 40145, detatched the engine switched brake modes from air goods to Vac passenger and it was sluggish, I then changed to Air passenger and recoupled then brakes were a lot sharper.

Re: WR Hydraulics
Hi Gary et Al
Thanks for the explanation which I have tried and works on the Class 52's.
However, I am somewhat dissappointed that DTG are seriously expecting EVERYONE buying their pack, has a knowledge of how to use RW Tools ! I do know the basics, but there will be many many purchasers, who dont. These will surely then end up with "numberless" and "nameless" locos ??
Also, now I have solved the problem with the Class 52's, how do I provide names and numbers for the Class 42 Warships, and the Class 35 Hymeks ?
And in an attempt to win the award for "Pickiest sim fan of the year " award..hows this for an entry......The name of D1022 is spelt incorrectly on the loco. The correct spelling is Western Sentinel, not Western Sentinal ! Lol.
And can someone just confirm to me that now I have downloaded the basic hydraulics pack, I could download the Armstrong Powerhouse Sound pack for the Class 52, and this WOULD NOT interfere or delete any of the sounds of the Hymeks or Warships in the default pack ? I have no DP Simulation reskins installed at present..just the basic pack
Any helps as always is appreciated guys.
Cheers
Derek
