RSSLO Vectron Basic/Advanced Running Sounds

Post by jstange »

Hello,

can someone please tell me if after the last update in April this year the RSSLO's Vectron still has no running sounds, i.e. if the loco is running solo it does not produce any sounds from the wheels and rails and is unnaturally almost silent?

Thank you very much!

The Vectron Basic has running sounds. I've got to dust off the manual on the advanced version to get the dang thing running and then I'll try it out.
...
Yep, running sounds on the Advanced version as well. And I apply all updates as they come out.

Hi, thanks a lot for your answer. However are you sure of it? Was the loco solo when you tried - isn't it the running sounds of the wagons/coaches you hear?

They have two Vectron models on their site - are you sure to be talking about the same one?

I speak about the AC/DC basic model and the advanced (I guess they use the same sounds).

Sorry about that. I had wagons attached. Just spotted the bit about solo loco. When I run just the loco I can hear the engine (or maybe it is the gear box) run up but as soon as gets to speed it goes silent and there is no longer any sound. It's like an electric car on a very smooth road -- no sound at all. Sorry for the confusion.

No worries, thanks a lot. So you have the latest version 1.3 from the shop installed, right?

Ok, many thanks. The sale is gone anyway, but I wouldn't buy it. To me this is a major flaw...
