The route build described here
http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 5&t=147315 has now been published courtesy of CeeGee at
http://www.wotawallysbits.co.uk/steaming-over-beattock.
Most of the extra Assets required are bundled and can be downloaded alongside the route. A list of additional UKTS files needed is given. The route is Quick Drive enabled, and comes with 3 QDs and a number of scenarios. RolandBP has adapted some originals from John that contained a number of items no longer available, and Wolf has taken one of my banker scenarios and created enhanced versions using SSS packs to create the "real feel" of being in the cabs of both banker and lead loco (and driving each of them).
Please address any comments to this site
http://railworks.freeforums.net/thread/ ... r-beattock.
This is a "Work in Progress", so there will be anomalies north of Law Junction (and hopefully none to the south!).
Finally, a big thanks to Wotawally (CeeGee) for hosting the route - he is not in the best of health at the moment, so I am sure all of us will wish him well.
A further note. There are 4 Manuals supplied with the route.
The Route Manual (2 parts, the second part lists all the markers used and extracts from a 1959 Scottish Timetable - all suitable for Scenario Makers), which will be found in the Manuals Folder in your Railworks installation.
2 Scenario manuals (the second describing the enhanced versions of a Banker Scenario), can be downloaded from
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B88Ro ... 2ROYzd5Tk0. All stock required are listed therein
As requested by the authors of bundled assets, 2 other manuals (Signalling guide and Livestock Pens Kit) have also been supplied.
Enjoy
Nick

Absolutely cracking. Thank you so much for continuing Carinthia's work and getting this to the current release point. Only run a short distance North from Carlisle so far, but the route is full of all the right period atmosphere. Looking forward to getting further up the line and the eventual completion to Glasgow.
Thanks again
Rod

Thanks, Rod. Hopefully not too long before the next phase is completed. Note that the route is driveable all the way to Glasgow Central, with signals (almost) correct. If you ignore some of the "modern" buildings north of Wishaw, then you can still enjoy the thrills of a 1960s train journey to the North.

Thanks, Mike, I have thoroughly enjoyed working on it. Regarding the scenarios, then one can swop out stock that you do not have (I have a large backlog of Scenarios that John produced containing stock from "he who shall not be named", so have to swop in them). I know that you have problems with doing this, so if you PM me with details of the scenario and the stock you wish swopped (in and out), then I can see if I can produce a personal copy for you.
regards
Nick

Hi Nick,
I know I have problems with TS2017 at times but the one thing I have mastered using RW Tools to swap stock, and to make files read/write,the rest of RW Tools goes over my head.
I have seen that Just Trains do a Std 4MT pack so will get them, but if I run into problems I will PM you.
Thanks for your offer to help
Mike

Hi Mike, there is also a weathered addon patch for the 4mt in the patches section of the site to add to the main pack. You need the main pack installed first though. Plus you need the tender patch if you add the weathered addon.

Absolutely brilliant. This is what train simulation is all about, especially for the BR Steam 1950's/60's enthusiasts like myself.

Thank you Nick for taking this over and all the work you did. This route looks and feels great.
Found 2 issues so far though. 1) I seem to have 'glowing' blue stationsigns.

and 2) I cannot complete the 13:30 Kingmoor-Bridgeton Bank Phase 1 scenario as the Black 5 refuses to take water at Beattock Down Loop North End. I am exactly at the right spot but the watercolumn doesn't move and no transfer of water. Perhaps you can look into this.
Other than that, brilliant! A much needed new steam route!

Hi
Many thanks for the advice about the patches for the JT Std class 4MT,I also have the JT Std 5,and the Patriot pack, also the Britannia,it's a shame DTG,withdrew the Jubilee pack
It would be nice if one of the model locomotive makers, could make a Royal Scot, and or a Patriot,,as I haven't got the Duchess,I have been using the excellent Matrix LMS coaches you can now get phase 1,2,3, and Pothole coaches excellent value for money, you can get them from steam market place.

Hi Jos
Sorry about the bright blue station signs - they are reskins from another author's template (for which we have permission). I think there may be an alpha channel problem, but I do not have the skill set to correct. Regarding the water stop, I haven't had problems with that. Have you tried both key press and mouse click? Sorry you did not manage to get a tick for that phase.

Hi Nick
Yes I used all the options to take water, i.e. T key, Load/Unload mouse click and click on the watercolumn itself when you hover over it with the cursor. Saved and resumed the scenario, moved a bit forward and backward, no change.
Oh well, lets see if this happens in the 4-part Kingmoor-Law Jcn scenario as well.

Hi
Just run part B of the Parcels trains where you drop the banker at the summit of Beattock Bank, crawled over at just over 19 mph,got a feeling the banker crew were taking it easy, and letting the Clan crew do most of the hard work.
I think I have all the loco's in the list, the Patriot listed is just a LMS locomotive.
I'm really enjoying this route, and it will be on my preferred to use list

Brilliant add on thanks!
I am driving a stopping service south and 3 out of every 4 signals are 'red' for no apparent reason meaning lkots of tabbing. Have re installed the signal packs.
Anyone else getting this. It is the 1350 Stopping Service to Carlisle
