It's circa 5 hours long, which includes the ECS from Laira to Plymouth. A challenging timetable I thought, but is a dream to drive as this uses the AP Class 43 MTU Enhancement Pack, giving that true sluggish feel when pulling away. This uses real times from RTT, so naturally the AI up to Bristol is a bit sparse but personally I feel it doesn't matter when you are on your toes trying to keep to the timetable and the DSD keeping you occupied if you have it on.
You do get a 10+ minute layover at Taunton which could come in handy for PNB's, though from Taunton the timetable is slightly tweaked by a minute or so compared to the real times, as I could not for the life of me keep to the real timetable from Bridgwater to Weston, even with slamming the anchors on at Highbridge I was a minute late, so I done some tweaking, I don't know if it's any better as I have not tried it with the altered times, but hopefully it will be doable.
I did Plymouth - Bristol in one sitting, had dinner, then did Bristol - Paddington, I was well shattered after that!

Any comments on expected memory load? Running with realistic AI from one end to the other seems optimistic given how often scenarios on this route give me trouble with memory even covering a portion of the Exeter/Cardiff to Paddington section.

Hi, I have downloaded this scenario and am getting a CTD each time I load, route goes through the loading process and as I expect it to start I get a 'saved to dump file' message then a 'railworks.exe has stopped working' message. In RWTools the following is missing for the voyager. I believe I have all the mentioned dependencies.
Missing items:-
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\JustTrains\Voyager\RailVehicles\Diesel\221\Brown\Engine\a25_locomotive_221_msb2_xc.bin
The file in my folder doesn't have the '2', a25_locomotive_221_msb
2_xc.bin. It comes up as JT Class 221 CC C (MS) have swapped for the B type
Also Missing are
Missing items:-
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class166\FGW_Plain\DMOCL\class166_dmocl_fgw.bin
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class166\FGW_Plain\MOS\class166_mos_fgw.bin
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class166\FGW_Plain\DMOS\class166_dmos_fgw.bin
I do have a FGW folder which i will swap out for these
Missing items:-
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class166\GWR\DMOCL\class166_dmocl_fgw.bin
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class166\GWR\MOS\class166_mos_fgw.bin
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class166\GWR\DMOS\class166_dmos_fgw.bin
I have no GWR folder installed, will swap these out for FGW.
Before clicking submit I thought I'd try to fix first so I have swapped out all below but still getting CTD. It did load on one attempt but got a message "Driver 1S37 0520 'Plymouth - Edinburgh' at lat 50.37853 lon -4.17054 not connected to destination -Plymouth platform 6". I tried to edit but then got the CTD. I'm guessing this could be a result of editing in RWTools as one of the voyager coaches was swapped out in this consist.
any ideas
Gav

A brief search in the file library brings up these - no swapping out required...

Hi thanks for the help but my post was more about the crashes to desktop, the missing dependencies were more for passing on information.

James....could you detail your in-game graphics settings for those having bother?
Those of you having bother.... James is running a museum piece, with a 32bit version of Windows. Accordingly it's likely that his graphical settings are much lower than yours. As daft as it sounds, this can enable him to feature more stock in scenarios as the game will be 'dropping' scenery assets to conserve resources before it gets to the point of falling over. You may need to lower yours.

I'll second Gary's comments there... I do a lot of testing of James's scenarios (Not this one though) and I have a pretty high end rig and it has been known to fall over when James has had no issues whatsoever. So it makes sense in a perverse kind of way
He does suggest saving a lot but then if you cannot even load it that doesn't help in the first place. Very unusual for one of his scenarios to be so problematic for so many mind.

Slightly off topic I know, but

rather negates the argument often used to 'justify' such a large route----the fact you can drive a *proper* long distance service without having to switch routes. In my view saving, and then having to/choosing to reload/resume from that save is no different than loading up part 2 of a journey!

You know me too well!!...
Gav, can you start LogMate running and then try loading the scenario?...the last few lines of the subsequent LogMate report may give an indication of what's going awry.

Museum piece

!!! That's a good one Gary!
Seriously though, I've just tried to load my scenario and nothing seems to crash, I don't have full sliders, I put the scenery quality slider down low as once suggested by the RW team, who say it saves memory and doesnt make too much of a difference, I've hardly had any CTD's since doing that.
I don't have any of this FXAA x 2 / 4 / 8, or whatever its called, set up.
Maybe try moving the quality slider down and seeing what happens?

It lives in your RailWorks folder, so before starting the game double click ..\RailWorks\LogMate.exe
When the game crashes or you exit the game the LogMate window will still be open; you can ignore most of it as it's the last dozen or so lines that could provide anything useful.

Downloaded the scenario and tried to get it running. Checked through RW Tools - no stock missing. Crashes per Logmate following multiple instances of;
Trace cBlueprintLibrary.cpp : 266 = Blueprint set not found : Ben Garfirth, Product
then followed by multiple instances of
Trace cBlueprintLibrary.cpp : 266 = Blueprint set not found : Ben Garfirth, PaddingtonCardiffBirmingham
Needless to say the Product and PaddingtonCardiffBirmingham sub folders/blueprints are missing from my Ben Garfirth folder - are these related to the upcoming London-Birmingham line from JT?
