Thank you very much, Maik, that is exactly what I wanted to know.
Now updated to v2.0, per info from the rail-sim.de forum the notch indicator has been added to the driving trailer cab!
In case Maik appears here - one question please: what is the driving trailer's compatibility with any previous locos? 111 and 112 I guess no chance (although 112 would be great), but what about 145 and 101?
Maik will clarify no doubt, but from what I have seen posted elsewhere there is no direct compatibility, it can be made to work but there are no sounds from the lok it seems.
OK, thanks, Holz. By the way someone on rail-sim.de tells me the notch indicator does not work when the chosen language during installation is English. Additionally some people have issues with closing the doors. I think I'll still better wait.
Having become the proud owner of all three add-ons I have to say that the driving trailer is a lot of fun to drive. Thee wear and tear in cab makes it feel quite homely. Haven't driven the loks yet, limited time and the DT is fun. V3 will be along shortly.
So is the notch indicator working in the EN installation, Holz?
And what about sound, some users complained the quality is not perfect, especially the break squeal.
And why did you get all three add-ons? Isn't the BR 110 contained in the pack with the driving trailer identical to the standalone BR 110 in traffic red? (thought it's meant for those not interested in the DT).
No, at the moment the notch indicator doesn't work, but you don't need it, with the BR110 it is far more important to monitors the Amps you are giving to the motors. In Britain ammeters and notch indicators were considered an unnecessary luxury in driving trailers in my day. Even in class 158's the only way you know you have power is when you start moving, or if you have the window open you hear the engines rev up, and bear in mind I live in North East Scotland. There are no in cab indicators. It will work in V3. Perfect sounds, if you want this you are in the wrong sim/game. Sounds are vastly improved in TS but far from perfect, I doubt any provider will claim them to be, not VR, not AP or any other. Why all three? why not. If you look at what is included in the two VRot packs you will see why. If you wait for perfection you will be dead first, I was a bit of a rivet counter in my youth, and to a certain extent still am, but I have learned to live with imperfections, otherwise I would deprive myself of a lot of fun. You will see me post here about various shortcomings, but ultimately I have to live with some of them, and hope the community improves them. For an ex train driver TS is really a pale shadow of reality, but it is better than nothing, and I am sure the other ex drivers here would agree. In real life you have to cope with failures and imperfection. Brake squeals are not perfect every time,in fact they are rarely the same twice, ammeters fail, notch indicators too, door systems can be far more temperamental than in TS and many other things TS does not simulate. If I took all this literally I would never touch TS. VR have actually felt the need to state on the forums that they are not perfect and do occasionally make mistakes like the rest of us. This is an indication of the high regard they are held in. No offence but from my perspective you have deprived yourself of 4 days of fun over trivial matters, but each to their own. If the vehicles were undriveable it would be different, but how many other manufacturers add-ons are you driving with far bigger errors?
So I've bought the pack. The notch indicator indeed does not work with the EN installation so I re-installed in DE. I can live with it until they fix it (and I'm sure they will).
Where to start or what to say - simply... vR have done it again! Driving the trailer is definitely a unique experience, immersion is excellent, I even think the cab sway is better than with their previous products. As Holz said the wear and tear inside the cab looks amazing. I defnitiely love the BR111-like notch controller, works very well with my joystick.
Apart from the notch indicator the only flaw I could find was that the driving trailer doors don't open at all. I saw this in some of the yt videos too, so it's apparently not just me; but it's nothing that would spoil the experience in my opinion. If they can fix it, great, if not, I'm fine too.
Overall I can't recommend it enough. Looking forward to using this in all the KoVi BR111 Dosto scenarios (RWTools will be busy again!)!
You're welcome. I have no problem with the doors opening so far. They have been using them and the Karlsruhe type with dostos for many years, initially due to late delivery of driving trailers. You sometimes get the combo on Nuernberg - Augsburg sets with a 111.

I might consider such an offer from 7 of 9 , but otherwise no thanks.

I've already tried one of the KoVi scenarios and all ok. Not sure what it was earlier. As for the door closing issue some speak of I am yet to see this problem.

v3 update to Bnrbdzf has finally been released! Probably together with v2 updates for the 110BF packages (not sure here though, perhaps v2 existed before - I don't own these).
Now updates to 101 and 189 and I'll be a happy man!
