The route is now available for download. From
http://www.wotawallysbits.co.uk/liv-man-br-blue-route
This includes all that was in the previous route, Liverpool to Manchester Victoria & Manchester Piccadilly- BR Blue Period (including the scenarios under different GUIDs). Hence, players can remove the former (remembering to transfer any of their own scenarios or those downloaded from elsewhere).
Enjoy

Nick, this looks fantastic. Thanks very much.
One small point. I can't locate the Readme in the zip file that tells how to install it.

Thanks Nick and Andy, even though the route is the *wrong* side of the hills it's the right era and close enough to home for me!

Further to Nick's post, this is Phase 1 of this route and contains all of the previously published Liverpool to Manchester Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly – BR Blue route and a brand new section completing the line between Wilderspool Loop, in Warrington, and Garston Docks…….also connecting to the WCML at Ditton. All Yards, Depots and Power Stations from the era are included. Due to the amount of regeneration and modernisation which took place in this area during the 1980s we have decided to be very specific regarding the year in which this particular section is set – 1983………12 months either side of this and much of the scenery, and track, would have been very different. The Manual included with the route details future Phases…next Phase will be Warrington to Chester.
All Liverpool to Manchester Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly scenarios are included ( they have been cloned to be compatible with the new route ) along with some new scenarios covering the Garston section and some Quick Drives and Free Roams….around 30 scenarios in total.
NB. This download contains several miles of WIP ( Work In Progress ) sections, WIP sections are driveable but there will be imperfections affecting scenery, track and OHLE –
WCML Ditton Junction to Weaver Junction – part completed between Ditton Junction and Runcorn so as to be visible from the Warrington/Garston line, track only between Runcorn and Weaver Junction.
Warrington Bank Quay to Chester – completed as far as the bridge over the Manchester Ship Canal, track only and some basic scenery up to Chester.
If you notice any issues then please report them here – Nick and I can then check to see if the issues can be corrected, we can then publish an update. We are already aware that the ReadMe is missing, this will be addressed soon with a different set of files being made available for download in case anybody is not sure how to manually install the current files.

Brilliant route so far and looking forward to the next phases. I have just ran the Stone to Collyhurst scenario but after leaving the yard at Warringon i get permanently held at a red signal (WN216) just before entering WBQ.

Once the Glasgow to Euston has passed, the signal should clear. Has done on the myriad times I have tested it!
Oh, there is also a down freightliner that must go ahead of you (if you are not quick enough to the junction)

Yes both of those services pass but I still get held at the red. When checking the 2D map I noticed I have no path after the switch points the signal is protecting. I will revert the scenario back to its standard form as I've swapped out the 47 for a pair of 20s and the hoppers for the DT ici hoppers but I can't see how this would affect the path.

A change in the physics capability of the stock can/will throw the game out. That's not saying it has, but you should test scenarios as they were written, if at all possible.
EDIT: Just tried the scenario as written, no problem at WN 216. Swapped the 47 for a pair of 20s, again no problems---how did you make the swap?

Swap was with RWTools. I have reverted back to standard and the scenario ran fine. One thing i did notice is that before reverting the class 101 at WBQ to Chester didn`t move where as in standard it did.
Thanks for the help guys.

Glad that has been sorted out - was beginning to wonder if any of the other scenarios (that have been tested ad nauseam) were failing!

Therein lies your problem. In RWTools you can swop like for like in type (but only one at a time). For a pair, best to swop in scenario editor, where you deposit the new loco(s), move the driver instructions, remove the old, and reposition the new.

Also, be careful swapping wagons---if you change the numbers you will break any couple/uncouple instructions that reference the stock by number.
As a postscript, I did as Nick has outlined in the game's scenario editor to swap to a pair of 20s.

A big thank you for this route. It is so nice to install a route without having to search for endless assets.
The industrial scenery is outstanding as is the rural vegetation. Some professional creators could learn a thing or two from the latter.I look forward to future releases and extensions but don't rush them, keep up the high standard you have set.
