The industrial scenery is outstanding as is the rural vegetation. Some professional creators could learn a thing or two from the latter.I look forward to future releases and extensions but don't rush them, keep up the high standard you have set.

Thanks very much for the comments - I'm pleased that you are enjoying the industrial scenery, there was so much of it around on this stretch during 1983 that it has made progress quite slow and I was a bit worried that I was spending too much time over it.....industrial scenery and nearby housing estates are the most time consuming to model, next stretch down to Chester is more rural, although Stanlow and Ince A & B Power Stations will take some time.

I can only echo what has been stated previously. I am thoroughly enjoying this route (being local to the North West) and you have most certainly achieved your aim of capturing that 1980's feel, all memories are flooding back of the good 'ole days and the Railright 40 is having a grand old time :D (along with other traction of that era I own) Can't wait for the expansion to Chester!

I just have one query, have any track amendments been made around Parkside Colliery since the last release? Only reason I ask is because, although all scenario's I created myself or self amended original scenario's that came with previous release, work great on this version, however, the only one that doesn't work is when I go to Parkside and it keeps throwing up "unknown error" when I try to fix it, also I'm derailing at approx.7mph on the sidings (forget the name now) before you enter the Colliery.

No amendments were made at Parkside. I will have a look at it today and report back. Will generate a suitable scenario. The sidings just outside are called, appropriately, Parkside Exchange sidings. The normal practice was for BR locos to haul empties to the exchange sidings, and NCB shunters drag them into the colliery. These shunters would then return the wagons, loaded, into the exchange sidings ready for a BR loco to take them away.
If you have made several successful scenarios, why not share them with the community?

Just been in and out of Parkside with a Cl 37 and 10xHAA. Apart from fouling the 10mph sign just at the entrance to the colliery, all went well. I "speeded" at 11mph, and wobbled a bit on the sharp curves, but no wheels left the tracks. The normal traction in the colliery would have been 0-6-0 shunters, though no doubt a Cl24 or Cl37 entered on the odd occasion. Cl40s would have been banned (it wasn't a DT Cl 40 that you were using, was it? The pony truck does not function all that well compared to the RR one, as I learnt to my cost just east of Man Vic going to Red Bank!)

Fantastic work, although not downloaded new section yet, I think we are getting spoilt with this route, it was great getting the route Victoria to Liverpool via Chat Moss, but Chester next and even on to Crewe and Preston is just awesome, thanks for updating the route.

Great work,
all that's needed now, is the underground Lime St to Chester and we could do the great circle. Joking of course.

Well we do have phase 14 - others to be decided. I will be laying out the line from Helsby to Hooton soon, so we can access Stanlow Oil refinery (great for scenarios). It would seem churlish not to join Chester to Hooton, and then go on into Birkenhead and under the Mersey. However. not sure how Andy would feel about another large town to build!

Hooton to Birkenhead is a mass of houses but doable as long as people don't expect it to look photo-realistic - the easy bit for me, as the scenery builder, is the underground section :-)

Plus a 507 in BR Blue/Grey to operate the passenger service. Maybe a reskin of a 315 minus the Pantograph coach?

But if Andy & Nick are doing the line as it was in 1983? then the third rail did not reached Chester until 1993 and Rock Ferry was the terminus until 1985.

Peter
I remember it well - changed to the Merseyrail underground many times at Rock Ferry in the late 70's

Ah memories,
remember drinking "Black velvets" - Guinness and cider(poor mans version) in Woodside station. Then getting, what in retrospection, must have been one of the last steam trains to Chester, with the girlfriend , later my wife.

Hi,

One thing I've noticed in this version (or on my download anyway), within the Assets folder, not all folders/files seem to be present for the new signal boxes and station, I've re-downloaded and they still seem to be missing.

Ditton Junction is missing in the station signs yet the batch file is trying to copy the sign from the included downloaded assets folder. Other examples are

keithmross\WCML2\Scenery\Lights n Signs\LM_Signal_Box_names\Ditton Jct 1\"
keithmross\WCML2\Scenery\Lights n Signs\LM_Signal_Box_names\Ditton Jct 2\"
keithmross\WCML2\Scenery\Lights n Signs\LM_Signal_Box_names\Fidlers Ferry PS\"

None of the above are in the downloaded Assets file, some of the others like Runcorn and Speke Jct are included and showing fine in game

Were these omitted in the uploaded Assets file?

Many thanks.

Oops, somehow an earlier version slipped in. Will send WW an up to date version. Trouble is, having the master copy on my computer, I do not notice such errors!
