Just as well that you don't require a serious answer.johnrossetti wrote:Hi,, I held off replying as I was enjoying the humour.
However,, the 6 coaches are from the Class 67 pack02.
After a quick seach, yes I did buy the Armstrong Mk1/2 Coach sound pack APMk1-2SP but never hear this with any other coaches and I did think the Royals were Mk3 ? ? ?
Anyhow,, SWMO doesn't like it (she doesn't like the AWS either) I have to remove it from every scenery, maybe I need to update her too, to Mk4 or something.
So which file sounds like air bags,, so I can replace it with the original.
Thanks for the jokes ! Cheers John

I guess it's one of these then ?
need to listen to each one.
Can a file just be removed ? and the rest still work ok ?

The .dav files are the actual sounds, and there's no need to remove any---simply rename a file by adding .ORIGINAL after the existing .dav extension. Doing it that way you can tell at a glance just what kind of file it is, what the extension was/should be and it also prevents the game caching it or attempting to load it.
Do them one at a time, testing after each edit.
Are you sure you're not getting your shows mixed up anyway?....rather than it being Cats you heard, it's more likely to have been Starlight Express.

Anyway I prefer dogs. PS there is not a single "cat" asset in my 111504 assets
Cheers John

I have to say John that they must be very strange cats where you live?
They sound like a bag of fed up grannies to me!

I actually went and tried the Class 67 royal train just to see if I could hear it, no doubt the noise is there but it's not that noticeable.

You can hear it in helicopter (view 2 / 3 mode) at lowish speeds. e.g. coming in/out of a station
You cannot hear it in the cab.

Yes that is exactly what I am getting, but not very loud or noticeable in my opinion and that is through a standard pair of stereo desktop speakers at what I consider normal volume, are you getting it extremely loud and what kind of speaker setup do you have?johnrossetti wrote:You can hear it in helicopter (view 2 / 3 mode) at lowish speeds. e.g. coming in/out of a station

Re: Royal Coaches whining Cats
Wow, that's definitely a lot louder and more noticeable than what I get.
