Hi All,

Class 86 London Euston to Wolverhampton Scenario:

This scenario is for WCML London and The Midlands V4 Route.

It is July 1975 and you will be driving a Class 86 hauled Inter City service on a lunchtime departure from London Euston which terminates at Wolverhampton, you will be driving the train as far as Birmingham New Street where your shift, and the scenario, terminates.

As there is no correct EMU stock available for the route, and the period, I have used the Class 303 with a BR Blue reskin which does create the right atmosphere but you will need to use a little imagination.......Isle Of Wight ex. London Underground stock has been used for the Bakerloo Line to Watford Junction.

Requires -

WCML London & Midlands Route V4 from UKTS

AP MK2E Coach add-on from Armstrong Powerhouse
Class 86 Pack from DTG
Class 303 Pack from DTG

Duration - 98 minutes approx.

I'm lucky in the fact that I have some old AL5 locos (no longer available) that I've swapped into this splendid scenario to make it even more prototypical.

We do need some more early electrics....

totally agree and when you think the 85's and to a lesser extent the 81's lasted until the late 80's early 90's it would be tip top to get them in the game, however recording the sounds may represent a slight issue

You never know - if AP can record the fabulous sound of the Paxman Valenta currently installed into the prototype HST, then maybe an 85 could be done. 85006 is preserved at Barrow Hill....
