Great to see a lot of good videos getting posted on YouTube. I'm trying to maintain an up-to-date list on our site here:

Re: Where has the Virtual District Line gone?
Hi
Just picked up on this and very glad to see it has finally been released.
Enjoyed a few hours yesterday after install running from Putney Bridge to Earls Court
FYI - installation was smooth and no problems.
Would suggest some portals are added (or add them yourself) so that you can get some nice passing traffic in your scenarios
Well done to everyone involved - a work of art and dedication!!

Re: Where has the Virtual District Line gone?
Where is the point of origin set on this route?
I tried to print the route using RW Info but it come out very small as it includes all the map even if there is not any track.
Peter
EDIT - found it
Point of Origin is about 3 miles north of Reigate, Surrey.

Re: Where has the Virtual District Line gone?
The point of origin is actually in error and we never fixed it. The sign on the Longitude is wrong, and should be West of Greenwich. Instead it's East and results in the origin you discovered. The few odd track and scenery items at that location are not used in any way. It in no way affects operation, and the only other reason you'd know is the tile names are significantly more to the West than you'd expect

Re: Where has the Virtual District Line gone?
You can change the origin retrospectively so that a new scenario, when selecting 'Route Origin' as it's start point, starts wherever you've decided the new origin is.
Route Properties.xml and the route template are the es to edit--just edit the origin latitude and longitude.
This change makes no difference to the tile numbering or Lat. Long. of any markers etc. but may make life easier for scenario creators.
On a related note, is there a markers.dcsv listing for different scenario start locations?

Re: Where has the Virtual District Line gone?
Appreciate the info - we will make those changes during our next batch of fixes.
If you look in the Assets\VirtualDistrictTeam\RouteMarkers folder you will find "DistrictLineNamed.dcsv and the resulting "LUL District Line Named.bin" files. So there is a list of all stations and depots and sidings in there, which shows up in the compass/lat-long button display list, and if clicking on a location will load the lat-long into the "goto" button on that display. So, yes, easy to goto any route location.

Re: Where has the Virtual District Line gone?
Hi,
First of all, I'd like to aid my thanks to the people responsible for this wonderful route. One thing is slightly spoiling my enjoyment though and I was hoping that people here might be able to offer me some advice on where to go next in looking for a solution. The issue is that I keep getting SPADs at certain points on the route, even though I'm pretty certain the signals aren't set against me. Probably the easiest of these locations to find is the signal/ground signal combination just after the 25mph sign when going from High Street Kensington to Earls Court. I think the problem is with the ground signal since if I delete it in the editor, the problem goes away. The problem always occurs where a signal and ground signal are located together. I've tried reinstalling the route file and VirtualDistrictTeam folder, and reinstalling the UK LED signals package (which I believe the offending ground signal comes from) but to no avail. It's clearly an issue with the install on my machine, rather than the route in general since I haven't seen any other complaints about this but can anyone offer any suggestions as to what I could try next to find a solution? I'd be grateful for any help.
Craig.

Re: Where has the Virtual District Line gone?
Hi Craig,
That issue along with similar mixes of signals is my fault not yours. I chose those ground sigs to try and act as shunts with a theater display as it was required to show which route was cleared. Unfortunately the normal and ground sigs aren't always communicating as they should and you may indeed be passing a regular signal at green but get a SPAD issued from the ground signal which is really trying to tell you the route is not set onto and sidings. I will keep working at this and other signal issues I'm aware of. The final solution would be to rip it all out (yes, many hundreds of sigs) and re-lay with the Pro LEDs. And I may yet bite the bullet and do that. You may also spot a few buried sigs that I placed simply to create track circuits (blocks) where such do exist but there is no actual signal present - example is the (lack of) home sigs at RMD, and (lack of) the starter at OLY.
The other thing you may notice is that LUL rules say on LUL metals you can increase speed as the cab passes a speedpost, although TS will say you are speeding (it thinks the end of the train must pass). The latter is true on NR metals (RMD and WIM roads), but not on the DR tracks. So sometimes TS will critique you (SPAD or speeding) when it really shouldn't, and you as the T/Op are responsible for doing the right thing regardless of how TS grades you.
Apologizes for these and other niggles. We'll keep working on them...
Best, Jimi

Hi Jimi, thanks for responding. No need to apologise, you and the other members of the Virtual District Line team have done a fantastic job, I haven't driven on any other line since I downloaded it! Thanks again for all your efforts and for explaining what the situation is.drjimi wrote:

How Did you get S Stock Branding? and thanks for the feedback on my scenarioSpringer6 wrote:Just completed the scenario "D Stock final run". A great scenario that really shows off the route. Lots of AI S7s ( JT S8s ) on the District Line sections and 1973 refurb. deep tunnel stock on the Piccadilly Line sections.
The 1973 stock looks and drives just as well as the D stock also ! A credit to Richard Scott and the whole team.
Re: Where has the Virtual District Line gone?
It's very easy to add the branding to the Just Trains S8 stock. Just use RSBinTool to make a .dds version of jt_s8_dm_02.TGPCDX . Then add a London Underground logo ( from the net ) to it via a paint program ( paint shop pro etc.). then import the .dds file back into to the .TGPCDX file and there you have it . The S8 textures are of low resolution and are mirrored, but as the low resolution means you can't read the text in the LU logo, it doesn't matter. For a number I used 81018 which is non authentic, but mirrors perfectly .AryanHD wrote:How Did you get S Stock Branding? and thanks for the feedback on my scenarioSpringer6 wrote:Just completed the scenario "D Stock final run". I haven't posted this minor "repaint" as I don't think JT approve of people publishing repaints of their stuff. However , if you pm me, I will try to attach the TGPCDX file if I can. It is 1367kb.

Re: Where has the Virtual District Line gone?
There are plenty of reskins of JT assets in the file library, I can't think of a single issue arising because somebody has released anything to change the default assets.
Using a decal for the logo, and there are numerous ones already in the game that can be 'borrowed', would get round any mirroring issues.
