I know the Piccadilly Line and District Line very well, and all I can say after running the Richmond to Temple Hill service,I found the scenery so realistic, take Gunnersbury the car park exactly how it is,also the old IBM building is right,if you ever thought a Underground route would be boring just driving in tunnels well this route will change your mind completely.

The only thing that looked strange was a 378 passed me while I was waiting at Kew station,it still had the Pantogragh up,which as every one knows this part of of the route has no overhead wires.

Can any one remember Miss Smith in the 1980's she lived near Stamford Brook Station, but not in a house but a battered old Ford Consul or it might have been a Cortina, you could see the car next to one of the bridges near the Station.
Once again Richard's Scotts modelling is responsible for this realism. When I was building the route originally I would try and "make" certain landmarks by using multiple objects and although they looked "similar" to these landmarks they contained far too many hidden polygons which was hard on the pc resources, so Richard stepped in and built pretty much everything on my wishlist. You can't imagine the thrill I got when he uploaded a new package for me and I got to place them for the first time. I started asking for all sorts of things , signs, lamposts, there are even models of my white taxi in places around the route. Two at the moment. Now I wonder where they might be?
If he makes me an old Ford Consul ( bigger than a Cortina !! ) I might put in the route for you.

I take it then, that no-one has an idea what's going on regarding my missing textures problem. I'll live with it, no probs.

What are the lat and long coordinates of the location where you have missing textures, and what are you using to extract files from the .rwp packages?

Hi Eddie,

The car was a Blue Ford Consul, probably a 1964 model, and was parked by the bridge over Prebend Gdns,on the Chiswick High Road side.

The reason I know about it is because I worked for Hounslow Council at the time she was there, after the car was removed the residents of Prebend Gdns took Hounslow Council to court saying the council illegally removed the car, because they had't given Miss Neysmith notice they were going to remove the car,out come of the court case Hounslow Council had acted illegally and had to pay court costs and damages.

Could you do a green Bedford HA Van,that could be a Hounslow Council Vehicle

@ DrEddie & Michaelhendle, the car was little older than 64, they built the MkII Consul from '56-'62 so maybe we could use one of the 1950's American cars as a placeholder for the Consul of Anne Neysmith, or the Ford 100E that is seen in a number of 1950's UK routes.......

PS; judging by the images of Anne's car, the rear lights and roof profile would indicate a car built from the 1959 model year to 1962; the number plate is of the 'reversed' type - three numbers followed by three letters which were an interim measure used 195x-63 and the car was registered in London, 298CGU being issued in South-East London originally. As the car doesn't seem to have a 'Consul 375' badge on the bootlid, that would exclude 1962 model cars built from mid-1961, SO Mr. Old-Car Anorak determines that the car was built between 1959 and mid 1961.

Sad aren't I? Ha Ha

Finally got it, don't seem to be missing anything either. Looks great, really good work with lots of custom assets. I cannot get the D-stock above 31mph, it hits a brick wall. What am I doing wrong here as it accelerates up to 31 but stops dead then?

Raise the Coast flag and or the Weak field flag CTRL C and Ctrl W respectively IIRC. Keys are in the D stock readme, but not their function IIRC.

No flags gets you to 30mph. Coast flag only gets you to 35mph. Weak field flag only gets you to 40mph. Both flags get you to 45mph.

To add a little more detail, per my LUA code, if coasting is enabled (default, flag down), the train will accelerate to 32mph then coast (un-motor) until speed drops to 28mph then re-motor - so Darren's quote of 30mph is the average. Coast flag up (no coasting) will get you to 38mph on level track - close enough to the 40 limits on many parts of the west end of the District. If coast is down and weak field is up, coast at 40 and re-motor at 36. Weak field up is only used (currently) on the RMD road. Look closely at the signal gantry at Turnham Gm WB and you will see a "Weak Field Flag Up" yellow sign, and a corresponding "flag down" sign on the EB side. There are similar signs at Putney Br on the Wimbo road, but as we haven't laid track beyond there yet, it's moot. Although raising both flags in not permitted on the real District we allow it in the sim - you'll hit 45+.

I was a Feltham lad myself, but the White Bear and Milford Arms were regular haunts in the 70s.

The derelict Consul sounds like a nice scenic feature for the route and a tribute to a real character. So maybe for the next release. :)

Hi Richard,

I was born in 1948 at that time my Parents lived in Lansbury Avenue Feltham, from there we moved to Little Park Drive Hanworth, until 1957 when we moved to Arnold Crescent Isleworth.

I can remember walking up to Harlington Rd,with my Dad then going along to the railway bridge and watching the trains going into Feltham Marshaling Yard.

Xguerra showed what they look like from the outside front of the train . You can also look across the cab using the normal cab view and look at the front offside window. Hit ctl-c or ctl-w and you will see the flags raise and lower (animate); and therefore see which is raised - the coast flag is further away from your driving position on the nearside. Xguerra's answer does provide a more positive answer as you can see the flag color/pattern from the front.
