Waggonz/AP 313 coming to Steam

Post by xguerra »

https://train-simulator.com/a-fine-whine/

First had a heart attack thinking it was a DTG-produced 313 (or maybe that might of been the result of seeing the score for West Side Story that I have to learn in 10 weeks but that's another story.......)
- but fortunately it's Waggonz.

Same arrangement as with Wherry on Steam.

Looking forward to seeing this on Steam, haven't currently got this one as it doesn't really fall within my area of interest.

Yes me too. Though having the AP DLC, this will open the 313 up to Workshop and give it perhaps more exposure.

Nice one :) ,

Depends if you really want the routes also, £14.99 for all liveries or £24.99 for short route and one livery.

I think it is great to have the choice. AP/Waggonz work is superb and I would love to have the "collection". However I would prefer to have something that I would definitely use with scenarios ready made for a route rather than 9, 10 or 11 spare liveries that would likely never get used.

But will it be released for a route or just a standalone pack with one livery & 3 scenarios for an existing route?

I'm thinking FCC or Great Northern Livery with scenarios for London - Peterborough.

I would rather have the Full pack which can be used on the North London Line, London to Peterborough & London to Brighton.
The liveries also mean different time periods can be run BR Blue, NSE & Private.

Can't see any mention of I think coming with a route can you provide your evidence that shows it coming with a route for £24,99 ????

In a serious note I echo other comments good to see the 313 coming to steam for workshop compatibility as the only place really a few scenarios have appeared is in this site at present

Reading the article the Steam pack will just contain the Silverlink and London Overground liveries, probably in preparation for the combined NLL and GOBLIN.

I'm like you, I make good use of the full pack, but I suppose opening the door to workshop for the 313 will please a lot of users.
So long as the file structure hasn't changed between the two, I'm happy.

Where have the prices and being inclusive with a route been announced?

Exactly, unless there's a secret that david1 can't share, all we know is:
DTG's announcement wrote:Armstrong Powerhouse’s Class 313, resplendent in post-Silverlink London Overground livery, is an authentic recreation of the classic unit that serves the North London Line as they did in their heyday, and it will be coming soon to Steam!

Excellent - it means we can both be satisfied with what we buy - that is the beauty of having choice :)

Hmmm, but, all that will be offered on Steam, according to this DTG advertisement, is just the post-Silverlink London Overground livery, with scenarios for the NLL, won't Workshop scenarios also be restricted to just the NLL, which isn't much for our money, most likely to be in the usual £11.99 bracket for DTG's Multiple Unit releases.
I'd rather obtain the full 10 liveries from Richard's site, 2 different cab interior variants and 6 scenarios for 2 different routes, all for an extra 3 quid, seems to be a bit of a no-brainer to me.

I don't understand why you think it would be restricted in that sense?

You can stick the 313 on any steam DLC route you want and upload the scenario to workshop. So long as the route is an official Steam DLC, you can do what you want.

Well, Xavier, fans like to play with realistic liveried content, if the 313 is only being released in the post-Silverlink London Overground livery, at the moment the only DTG authentic route is NLL, they would look out of place on any other DTG routes, if you obtained the original pack from Waggonz, you can create all sorts of alternative possibilities, with very few restrictions.
