If you have the Trainworks update for the NLL installed, it will also work for this route if you activate the provider "CS_addon / Hekl".

First go into a scenario, hit escape and choose world editor, then click on the padlock bottom right to unlock the route, save and quit. Unless of course you have already unlocked it. Then from main menu open build, slect the route, edit, select 2nd flyout panel from top left, click on small purple square with yellow arrow, move cursor to right top and flyout will appear. Click to make drop down meu appear. Look for Hekl and select, the click on left most box beside Addon. Ticks will appear in two boxes. Save and close. Done.

Worked perfectly... But of course the update the other day had overridden the update, so had to reinstall, but all done and thanks for the step by step

Anyway, back to about the route...

So I have had a few issues and I wondered if anyone else has experienced them:

I find the track joint sounds are excessive and to the extreme when I have driven a few Class 66 and freight scenarios.

Also, the Class 66 (and I have used several on this route so far) when you go over the AWS ramp, there is no sound but the warning light comes on. So if you are not watching the dash, then you have no idea and the Emer brakes come on.

So my question is does anyone else have these issues or is it my install? Is it because I have the AP sound packs for the Class 66 and this may have caused the issue on default ones that have not been modified? Any suggestions would be great to have a look at please.

Cheers

I've only got external ambient sounds at all on the 378. No AWS, no horn, no traction sounds to speak of. I'll try 66 tomorrow.

Try a different loco on this line and see if the AWS works normally or not - if it does then try the Class 66 on a different route to test the AWS.

Yes the track sounds completely spoil the route. Even the short section of the GEML appears to have had the continuous welded rail (CWR) replaced with jointed track. It may be a mistake by DTG and the jointed sound has been applied across
the route. I run the AP Class 66 enhancements and and the non enhanced sound much worse. Have not had your AWS issues.
Ran a workshop scenario that used a Class 68 and it sounded so bad, I had to swap it out for an AP Class 66.

You may have the LU1 reskin installed, if so, reinstall the skin and the 378 internal sounds should be back, worked for me.

My problem, I'm getting strange reverb/echoes on the incline to the flyover out of Woodgrange Park, silence on the bridge itself and then intermittent reverb heading towards Wanstead. This happens in any loco/unit I've tried. All other loco sounds working ok, including the 66.

Just a thought have you got the latest version of the Class 66 Sound pack installed (not to sure there has been a patch since release) but i know AP have been busy updating allot of there packs. Probably a long shot but one that might be worth a try would be to download a fresh class 66 installer just incase there has been a patch/update you may have missed that might fix the problem.

I had similar issues on this route with the class 66, no engine sound aws was just a click, the sunflower was working correctly. I downloaded both AP sounds sets for thc class 66 older one first , this solved the problem.
