Master Key Simulations

Post by deltic009 »

Although they don't sound like new kids on the block themselves, as a collective they are.

The Facebook header photo shows the promise of a new Class 47, Class 185 DMU and the former Gatwick Express unit (sorry I can't recall the number)

Their opening gambit may also interest those having heated debate in the AP MTU JUST Enhancement Pack thread too.
We have 5 projects in the pipeline, ranging from a brand new Class 43 HST, to state of the art Electric Multiple Units. Each being built to a high standard of detail and accuracy, based on manufacturer and operator assistance and documentation. As we get settled into 2017, more will be revealed about upcoming projects and where you can get hold of them.

Happy new year to everyone, and lets hope its the best year yet for Train Simulation!

Nicknamed 'Darth Vader' IIRC

I'll keep my eye on these, it's always nice to see new developers and what they can bring to the sim :)

This is sounding really good, would be nice to get a fully functioning class 47 with better physics, just wonder whether DTG will now release a class 460, as they have never shown an intrest in making one, but as some as somebody else announces something they pop up with one. Wonder what the fifth project is going to be, first generation EMU would be nice (309 or 312 for BR period GEML) can hope, what ever it is know doubt will be a great addition to Railworks.

i'm not too bothered about the plastic but the 47, now i just hope thats done well, not to slate the base or any of the lovely reskins for it but its really showing its age now. to have a 47 that throttles up as from a start like the real ones do would be fantastic

Indeed, and in true SR fashion recycled to rebuild the 458's.

Agree with you there, first generation AC EMUs would be nice although they would be limited to the GEML (except the Scottish 303/311s). Birmingham area would make a good home for them too.
Nevertheless, excited to see what Master Key have in store for us! :D

If they are going to build new stock they would probably make trains that they can do scenarios for.
In the game the only section of payware route for a 323 is MUFC Halt to Piccadilly Station on the Liverpool - Manchester route.

In regard to the Brush assuming its for the full life of the prototype then livery wise it would come with

Two Tone Green half yellow panel
Two Tone Green full panel
Br Blue working headcode pre tops numbers
Br Blue working headcode tops numbers (also domino selectable)
Br Blue blanked headcode panel
Br Large Logo
Original Intercity
Intercity Mainline
Intercity Swallow
Scotrail
NSE, both
Virgin
Original Railfreight
Red Stripe Railfreight
Railfreight Sectors
Dutch
Full Grey
Parcels
RES
EWS
DRS Block
DRS Revised
Freightliner Grey
Freightliner Green

That would be the BULK of them although not all and if certain items like below could be added as child objects

Steam heating pipes
Orange Cant stripes
Sealed Beam Headlight
NRN ariels
Snowploughs
Both ETH Types
TDM's
Multi sockets
Some branding
Cut away buffer cowlings
Black Headcode box
Grey roof

and you could play around and select them in the editor that pack would be worth every penny

An hour ago on their facebook page - "A first look at our Class 460 'Gatwick Express' Cab. Still a lot left on the 'to do' list, mainly scripting and audio. On that note, would functional Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCBs) be a feature you'd like to see?"

Looks pretty good so far!

Yeah I saw that this looks absoloutly stunning day one purchase for me. I hope they get the audio bang on as these units have not been running for a while now since they got replaced and converted into the swat 5 car units (forgot the name) or do they still have the same motors on them now
