Could someone who has purchased the pack confirm if the Grand Central Buffer HST has the old livery (so no orange stripe). Thanks

I'd just like to say thanks for this brilliant pack Richard,it evokes so many memories (particularly with the included scenarios) of my summer holidays in Dawlish as a kid in the 90s.

Fantastic work. :D

Cheers,
Mark

Thank you, Mark! I always think one of the best things Train Simulator can do is bring back memories so I'm pleased that was the case for you :).

Are you saying it would be possible? I have no experience in editing files or scripting so I apologise of I've misunderstood.

Do the exhaust effects (look fantastic in the trailer vid) come with both class 43 enhancement packs or just the valenta pack BIG Thanks

Both packs have the effects but the MTU is a lot more subtle, as per reality.

Not with a new cab--don't have the pack so I can't check--but the texture for the class 43 should be portable to a copy of the default model. You probably wouldn't be able to use any advanced scripting but the sounds might be able to be referenced without huge problems. Not a quick job though, there'd be lots to check.

Thanks for that Gptech. I'll be leaving it as it is. Wasn't a huge issue just thought I'd ask the question incase there was a simple solution.

Hi All

Just a couple of questions...

1. Which engine were the HSTs equipped with originally..MTU or Valenta ? If I recall correctly, they sounded a lot less impressive and noisy after the newer engine was installed.

2. Is it a legal issue that has stopped AP including the (for example), "Virgin" branding on the sides of the power cars and stock ? I have an older version of the HST which HAS that branding on it, and it doesnt look right without it on the newer version !

Thanks

The smoke effects are really cool. I wish that the AP Class 205 could do with dynamic smoke effects like this.

For me I have two gripes, the turbo should be more prominent and HST's didn't run around with both headlights on. In fact I would have been disciplined if I had done this without good reason. Other than that it's pretty good, although it sounds as if the prototype had a blow somewhere, possibly the manifold. I have a CD with a recording in the cab of the prototype in it's mainline days, with the engine room door open most of the time I would say. Was always fun to drive these with the Valenta screaming away behind you, especially up here with the numerous speed changes.

Running with both lights on is based from photos like these: https://www.flickr.com/photos/camperdown/5613358340/ & https://www.flickr.com/photos/25009262@N03/24595137830/. Possibly something that only became acceptable in later years?

The headlights are fully customisable though so you can choose whether you want to use just day or night, or both.
