Joe

First of all - my thanks for all the work that has gone into this. A great route and captures magnificently the rail network I knew growing up in the area in the 70s

Secondly, would you recommend deleting any v1 folders via the Main Menu to remove the route v1 from the selection screens?

I have found that to run the Class 101 DMU Standard scenario you need to have UKTS 23557 installed. You also need to change the folder paths:

Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Freight\5PlankWagon\cable1\Wagon\5plank.bin to

Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Freight\5PlankWagon\Default\Wagon\5plank.bin

and

Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Freight\StandardVan\Default - Copy\Wagon\standard_van.bin to

Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Freight\StandardVan\Default\Wagon\standard_van.bin

The Standard Van change is also required in some of the Free Roam scenarios.

Good news folks, without too much hassle I have managed to get all of the 20 BLXT scenarios from v1 working in v2

About 11 or 12 (I think) worked immediately. Several others only required broken consists fixing, which were mostly locos and DMUs off the tracks at Gosforth depot (which has had tracks re-aligned); one broken consist was easy to fix (after reference to v1) where the new extension to South Shields has involved track re-alignment on the approach to Gateshead; two scenarios needed the now extinct Fawdon Portal (west of Gosforth) replacing with the Callerton Portal (the line has been extended a little further out at that point), resolving a whole series of pathing issues that popped up to start with; and I extended one scenario to come to an end in the newly-installed Low Fell sidings (south of Newcastle) instead of using a scenario-specific "End of Scenario" marker on the open line west of Gateshead.

There were no other issues with markers or pathing (once broken consists were fixed)

I think some of the "official" v1 scenarios may be a bit more tricky, but hey, 20 scenarios from BLXT is good news!

Just out of interest, on the free roam, from Tyne Yard, can anyone get all the way to Consett? I've tried changing the points at various places, which causes derailments, but can't get on the left hand track to go up there. Staying on the right hand track always puts me in a siding near Annfield Plain.

Help!

Thanks,

NQ.

Niall,
.
Answer yes done it the other day, check your route out of Tyne Yard and then you`re laughing.
.
On another subject / thread a new route in prep from across the Pond, Sacramento Interurban, included is an electric loco, thinking of Westcoe area, not strictly correct but could be reasonable

Still can't get out of Tyne Yard, going backwards and forwards, changing points.

Give me a clue - do you exit at the exit nearest Newcastle or Birtley?

Wish I could figure out the tools, U'd just create a route to drive direct from tyne dock to consett.............

Hello NQ Nice to see people getting lost in Tyne Yard complex :o .

Its not that bad if you brake it down into sections ,up rec ,down rec ,and the main yard in the centre .if your leaving the stabling point i would move forwards into
the reception sidings for northbound traffic ,change ends and and points to head towards the under bridge on the exit from southbound rec ,check all points are set for down slow ,this will put you on the correct track to go south.
But even if you exit on the wrong line you can use these crossovers at birtley.

Happy exploring.

its a bit wide but would make a good substitute and its free.

PS ive got a couple of scenarios i may share next weekend time permitting .
