Joe, it was a long time coming, but, well worth the wait. One small item I noticed on the 2D map was a section of track missing under Tyne Dock Staithes, having run a free roam in the area found that a buffer stop appears either side of the missing section.
.
Once again thanks for a fantastic route.

Yes just a disused section of the docks also the middle staiths were disused by this time.

Have you got all the prerequisites? Missing scenery usually means a lack of a particular dependency.

Thank you for this Joe, I can't wait to start driving on the new bits. I bought the Wear Valley (plus Class 14 and NCB livery) in anticipation of your route update.

I thought I had all of the prerequisites (v1 worked ok for me) but no scenarios/quick drives are working for me as I am missing the following:
Standard BR Van
47469 BR Blue
7 Plank Wagon_Grey_Coal

Are you able to direct me to where I can obtain them? I have several 'Standard' vans and 47s in my Kuju folder, including 47469 in ICS livery.

Thanks

Just swap stuff with RW Tools, there's nothing particularly special with respect to those reskins.

Hi Joe,
Just downloaded and installed version 2 of this route, already had v1 installed, but I have only got 1 scenario showing, that's for the class 101 diesel multiple unit .

I wasn't sure if there were any others that I had missed

I have the same problem as Mike, only the 101 scenario shows which doesn't work due to not having all the stock. After installing version 2 I had version 1 and 2 showing in game, no.1 had loads of scenarios, no.2 just the one. I copied the scenarios from 1 to 2 and although they show in RW tools, they do not show in game. I am also missing some items from Karma99 (BR 5 plank) which I thought were on the dps site but weren't, also one of the standard van wagons shows as \Default - copy\. Any thoughts on getting the scenarios to show in game would be appreciated. I would just like to add my thanks for this route, it has a wonderful atmosphere.

All the best, Richard

I also have the "Standard Van",47469,ans 7ton plank-Grey-Coal missing,,when I try to change with RW-Tools in QD's,RW Tools says cant change QD,,and I think QD's don't show if you have missing stock ( not certain ),,so they need to be changed to work.

Having had v1 and not reinstalled after a fresh install of the base steam files, I was forced to redownload and install v1 as part of the v2 installation process. I now have both versions listed in the routes menu....

Cracking route though - well done!

You can't have two scenarios in your setup with the same name/ID (the name of the folder each scenario sits in) - even though they are in different route folders

So to copy it over EITHER delete the original, or edit the name/ID - I change the last three digits to " aaa " so that I can spot them easily. I also edit the same ID at the top of the ScenarioProperties.xml file, and add "v1" to the front of the scenario name so that it shows up as a v1 scenario in the menu.

But be aware, there appear to have been quite a few changes even to the old part of the route, especially around the Newcastle/Gosforth complex. I got one scenario going after fixing broken consists at Newcastle and Gosforth depot and changing a portal name which no longer existed. A second scenario I gave up on due to multiple pathing conflicts and broken consists. And a third (a BLXT scenario) ran without problems (though it didn't go near the Newcastle complex)! So it's hit-and-miss . . expect the worst, and maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised! Or if you ENJOY fixing puzzles, then it's for you!

And a hint - if you are into copying and getting v1 scenarios working, I recommend that you KEEP the v1 Route folder & scenarios in place for now. Then if a v1 scenario doesn't run in v2, and you can't fathom what the problem is, running it in v1 might help you to understand what is SUPPOSED to be happening and help you with the solution

First of all , thanks for all the nice words about my work.

Telegraph poles ,the route now uses the poles from Wear valley railway.there may be an odd stray pole around from the old version but if you have woodhead and wear valley this shouldn't be an issue .

Scenarios
The route will be released as a standard file to the library rather than a freeware pack, the reason for this is problems with the packager at present ,and the time available by myself and Jim to complete the pack. So what i have come up with is a duplicate of the old route which can be installed alongside the original,I have decided this due to lots of changes to the original route which would make lots of the scenarios made by the community etc unusable.
The other big change is the route uses assets from Derek's excellent Wear Valley Route alongside the Woodhead ,sorry folks just couldn't resist the great assets in there.
Now for scenarios ,i have created a set of new Quickdrive scenarios for the route which cover most parts of the network ,freight and passenger also new free roam.
As for standard scenarios i have left this section clear and going to release them separately so i can use which stock i want rather than stick to the stock from the two routes above.
this should give you a general idea of my thinking on scenarios.

Stock

Have to hold my hands up here  thought all that stock was in the freeware packs, maybe not.

im back to work tomorrow and work away all week ,pushed hard to get this out before i return ,so a fix will have to wait im afraid folks.

P.S Chris got it spot on ,The complete Gosforth depot was rebuild track and all ,so you will find using the old scenarios almost impossible.unless you like a challenge.

Just for info, I have deleted version 1 and the old scenarios still do not show. Not a major problem as the free roam and quick drive do seem to work (well one of each so far)
