AP Mk2 DEF Strange side effect

Post by 749006 »

I was running a rake of stock with the AP 90 pulling MK2 DEF stock

Trying the Passenger view i was quite pleased and took a screenshot.
Interior view
Interior view
I then went outside in View 2 and got a reflective distortion on the locos windows/lights
Exterior view
Exterior view
I tried changing views but no change.
The Fix was to go in to the Cab and take a screenshot which reverted the loco windscreen/lights to normal

What happens if you switch to passenger view, and then go to outside without taking the initial screenshot?

This appears to be down to the Class 90 having Rain Effects applied to the external windscreen/glass, which the shader itself isn't always too happy about. I imagine the Mk2s not having the rain shader on the interior might have confused it slightly.

Nothing changes - I went in to and out of Passenger View a few times.
Only the Screenshot cause the slight problem.

I thought I would post it in case someone else has the same effect.

So it's likely to be more of an issue when taking screenshots, rather than an issue with these particular coaches.
Does the same thing happen if you use other coaches with a passenger view, or other locomotives, or with the original configuration if you take a screenshot from the cab?

Interesting as I had the same thing when running with the ATW livery and the Class 82 DVT.

I too have noticed this using the class 90 but I didn't take any screenshots. I found that going from pass view to outside view created the strange effect with the windows on the class 90 cab but going to cabview then back to the external view cleared the problem. I havn't tried it with any other loco yet but hopefully will try tonight.

No problems taking cab shots with this formation - just when I used a coach view did the problem occur.

Identical finding here too, also happens with JT's Class 20. No screenshots involved.
