I for one will always support the Phase 1 scenario. I buy from the original, third party builder because, without them, there is simply no product that can proceed to Phase 2, other than the supermarket's own-brand produce.

Organic is the way forward Ash :P

Hopefully it will boost AP's coffers and they can re-invest the profits. For me, Richard strikes me as someone who does not sit on his laurels so we could maybe see another route or two as well as other enhancement packages such as the excellent Class 91 pack.

While that is true (more so for supermarkets in this case :) ), there is also the case that without DTG / RSC and the game there wouldn't be a game or software (and of course the assets - which have been used in this route too) for the third party to make a route for using the tools that were included in the game (in the case of route building more so )

But third party developers obviously know that DTG have produced the game and assets, otherwise they would not be able to produce add-ons for it.....

True, I only meant it in that something should also go back to the developer of the game too to support the future of the game itself (I know not everyone agrees with that, I say that as my own personal opinion only :) ), but I also understand that a 3rd party also needs to survive at the same time.

Danny, there's plenty that goes back to DTG, if you stop and think about it. For example, when people buy the forthcoming GWR tank loco pack from SSS, there'll be a huge incentive to also buy the route(s) from DTG to run the accompanying scenarios on. Similarly, all of the sound and scenarios packs available from AP have a list of Steam pre-requisites..... It all pays into and benefits the sim itself, whilst creating revenue for DTG as well as the third parties. Everyone benefits, surely?

Now out: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3769 ... age%20Page

According to SteamDB S&C and Class 170 aren't in the package: https://steamdb.info/sub/69918/apps/ Does this standalone 170 have the same features as the Academy version?

It will contain the parts if those packages that will be required not the entire route DLCs. I'd imagine it is a reskins Academy but I don't have it yet.

So RSC/SettleCarlisle and RSC/Class170Pack01 path folders will be created if one buys the Wherry Lines without owning the latter…if one owns the latter DLC will any files be overwritten? Is there a branding patch for steam users?

All rolling stock is contained within the AP/WherryLines folder structure.

I'm sure that stock problems can be solved with our good friend RW-Tools.

Does that also apply to the AP-store version?

I very much doubt it as the AP version uses stock from other routes they would not be allowed i dont think to package it as there own assets

Doesn't the AP acquired version merely have .bin files in the AP folder tree, simply calling on assets housed under their *proper* provider/product home?
