Hi James, good to see that UKTS site owners have allowed a competition to take place for a change, after not bothering to respond to me last year, so thats a positive.

Anyway, on to why I would like to win (as opposed to should)

I am due to take delivery of my high spec new rig on the 24th August and will finally be able to fully enjoy quality products like the Class 205 in all its glory for the first time since trainsimming (As you can guess I am excited)

Oh and now I am pretty skint, till the other half releases the purse strings which will likely be 2020

Finally, thanks for your generosity surrounding this. It does certainly encourage some activity around the forum and promotes all that is good about the community.

Well done finally after countless posts someone else actually says thank you. All these other people just post "I want to win" without a thought going into the fact he is doing this out his own pocket. So well done to you sir

I'd like to win because everyone else is doing it and I am easily led

Also, I would like to see if I can melt my computer by running such a high quality product on a high quality route

You're joking right? (If you are the sense of humour hasn't come out well in writing).

It was one unit out of the whole batch and so was totally uncommon compared to what was standard. You can't slam AP for not including something that makes very little difference whatsoever to your experience of the unit.
I imagine a lot of the decision on what was included in the Class 40 was down to RailRight more than AP.

Consider yourself lucky to have a 205 at all, and that some producer such as AP was kind enough to put in the time and effort to make it an addon of the highest order.

I also bought the Class 205 on the first day and I'm very happy with this purchase.

So I'm happy with the second prize if I won anything.

I feel for those who have never heard one in real life, I love going on the ones that are left, Alton Diesel Gala, couldn't stop going for runs on the Thumper!

I still kick myself for not doing them in service, did a lot of platform end spotting when they worked their final years, but never did one, and when I nearly did one off London Bridge, it was quite full so I didn't bother, then they were gone, wish I actually got on that 205, albeit rammed, just to say I've been on one in service.

Anyway please let me know if I've missed your name out so far, obviously I'll be adding to the list for any more entries:

We left it out as it would genuinely double the development time (entirely new cab/animations/sounds/scripting/physics/external), thus doubling the price. Would have loved to but not a commercially viable decision.

If everyone wants it, then why not me:)
