Re: Chinley V2
They are all station or signal box signs, not at all critical to operation of the route, no big deal at all. At the worst you will see a telegraph insulator symbol for their absence, but I haven't seen any so I suspect most are out of sight below ground.

Is that the posh way of saying 'a milk bottle' ?----'cos that's what we usually get to denote a missing asset.pctech wrote:you will see a telegraph insulator symbol for their absence

True but it would still be interesting to know why these assets show as missing and how/where to get them.pctech wrote:They are all station or signal box signs, not at all critical to operation of the route......
Thanks, Jos

I can't imagine anybody would go to the bother of producing signal box name boards and hiding them below ground.

And in that case they would not be 'missing' but just invisible.gptech wrote:I can't imagine anybody would go to the bother of producing signal box name boards and hiding them below ground.

As would be the case if the .bin was present but not the .GeoPcDxblack8 wrote:And in that case they would not be 'missing' but just invisible.gptech wrote:I can't imagine anybody would go to the bother of producing signal box name boards and hiding them below ground.
There are numerous reasons why assets are reported as missing by RW Tools, but the files are still on the PC--a change of folder/file name for example
Moot point anyway, see above.

Hi
I can't understand why people seem to go RW Tools before running a new route,I usually do it the other way round run the route first, then go and check the route through RW Tools.

I suppose it's too late to incorporate the 'dive under' that took the down fast under the slow lines into Sheffield Midland? I think it went out of use around 1970.
Thanks in anticipation.

Re: Chinley V2
Just using 4 tracks was easiest at the moment, just doing Heeley Carriage Sds and Milhouses loco then thats the track done... be easy enough to change to the flyunder..daveannjon wrote:I suppose it's too late to incorporate the 'dive under' that took the down fast under the slow lines into Sheffield Midland? Re: Chinley V2
If you are going down that route then there is no need to put most of the assets in a route apart from signals and platforms.pctech wrote:They are all station or signal box signs, not at all critical to operation of the route, no big deal at all.
It may not be a big deal to you but it's what makes the game more enjoyable - the small detail items the route builders have put in to their creations.
They help bring their routes to life
