Another querky happening... I made a copy of it then deleted one, but both still show in RW Tools749006 wrote:I'm liking this route and I started to modify one of the scenarios from a Steam loco to a Class 45.
The scenario, Manchester - Derby Express appears in RW Tools but it does not appear in the Route when I go to edit it.
Not sure why?

Hi Ken, no idea what the blue sign is..sundog wrote:I've tried re-installing and not only is the goods shed still missing but there are now gaps in the track around the pointwork. Also a blue sign reading "Langenhausen" seems to have appeared (unnoticed before anyway) halfway up the cutting at Chinley station!!
Not sure what's going on but I'll run it through RW Tools when I get a chance.
Ken
The gaps in point work appear if the rendering is not correct but I made sure all the rails were correct length, why yours are showing?? .. strange happenings

Hi
Just run the Manchester Coal train,a really good Scenario, only thing I have done to add a bit of varity is to change some of the Black 5's using Ike's Locomotives I've used his Royal Scot,Crab,Patriot, and JT Std5,&JT Britannia,as I haven't got you know whose Britannia, and I've used some Matrix excellent LMS coaches which I got from steam market place, excellent value for money, another locomotive I always change is the bog standard 7F,they were only ever used on The Somerset and Dorset, luckily I have the DT 7F 0-8-0 which I use.
Thanks for realising this route, can't wait to get to Manchester Victoria sometime in the future, the route is very realistic scenery wise.

Funnily enough my memories of the area are that there were surprisingly few Black 5s - just 8Fs, 8Fs and more 8Fs to the point of being boring! I guess the gradients dictated that. At the time I was there the expresses were Peak-hauled but I suppose Scots and Jubilees worked those previously.michaelhendle wrote:Hi

Fantastic area for playing at being train drivers, very challenging with a good load behind you. All credit to Mr G for making the little one in v1 up to something really worthwhile.

Good to see you back route building s many have said your other routes are classics and this one does not disappoint. I just have one problem that not all the signal boxes are showing , can you confirm what ones have been used please, keep up the good work. I still use SDB a lot

I had the stanier 8f's and 2-10-0 9f's on freights but I only use freeware stuff when I upload so had to put 5's on everything..ptech wrote:Fantastic area for playing at being train drivers, very challenging with a good load behind you. Very sensible to do that. My comment was not intended to criticise that, just intended as a passing mention of my memories.ussvoyager wrote: I had the stanier 8f's and 2-10-0 9f's on freights but I only use freeware stuff when I upload so had to put 5's on everything..

Hi
The missing Evening Star loco was made by some one we can't name,so was withdrawn from sale, unfortunately you can't get it any more, you can either swap it for the DTG 9F on steam or IKE's freeware one in the library, look in the Railworks or Rail Simulator down load section under steam locomotives. It's surprising what you can find there,IKE made a Crab,Royal Scot,Patriot,WD 2-8-0
WD 2-10-0,and they look as good today as they did when they first came out.
Oh if this is part of the Midland route from St Pancras to Manchester, then you can have 7 Britannia's as Longsight had 7 allocated to it in the late 1950's they were intended as replacement loco's for the Royal Scots.

That's interesting as I' ve just finished reading Terry Essery's excellent books about his firing days at Saltley in the 50s. Really interesting reading!
