Well that would be cool and I'd certainly be interested.

Chur to Disentis and further, going through the Rheinslucht between Chur & Ilanz, that would be my personal favourite... ;-)

A good section would be St Moritz to Tirano in Italy. This allows you to travel over the Bernina at 2253 metres above sea level and then drop down to ride through the streets of Tirano ( like a tram) at 429 metres.

I understand the appeal of going to Tirano, following the trajectory of the Glacier Express, but going from Landquart or Chur to Disentis / Andermatt instead would be a personal favourite route of mine due to having been in that part of the Rhine valley on holidays many times ;-)
And the Rhine Gorge is a unique and spectacular piece of nature, which would be interesting to cross by virtual train!

HI i would like to see Chur to Klosters as I stayed just out side Klosters ,and from the hotel in the valley you could look up and see one of those famous RHB viaducts.

I don't see Thomson doing the Landquart - Klosters - Davos - Filisur as that route is already being made by SimTrain.CH

The line to Tirano is a different voltage so would require new power cars or the Allegra units.
They have the Gem4/4 Electro/Diesel locos on the line 801 & 802
http://www.railfaneurope.net/pix/ch/nar ... 8_ptms.jpg
But they only work as Electrics on the Tirano line as the voltage is different from the the main system.

A rolling stock expansion pack would be most welcome! I really enjoy the Glacier Express stock but it's kind of boring to have only panorama coaches to simulate the variety of the Albula line's operations.

I would love Thomson Interactive to make the Bernina line! It is truly an engineering and scenic wonder and is one of the most interesting railway lines in the world. It would be a very welcome DLC pack - here's hoping for it.

It would make sense for them to do the line from Samedan to Tirano then one would expect the Bernina stock to come into play which can be used on the Albula as well.

When I went to Switzerland we stayed just outside Klosters, the hotel was near the river Rhine.mind you it more a stream there.

Hi Mike

The line thru Klosters is the one that SimTrain-CH are making
http://www.simtrain.ch/pi/Heidi-Express-TS2012-2015.htm
including the new Allegra Emu's
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhaetian_Railway_ABe_8/12

But the route is expensive :(

Peter
Your first link doesn't work. http://www.simtrain.ch/pi/Heidi-Express ... -2015.html you forgot the l on the end. Expensive route Price converted to NZ $ = $76. Usual DTG route costs $49-99 NZ.

Yes @ 56•00 it way out of my price range,I was having a look at one of the freight trains and it had a box van advertising BEMO HO gauge models on the side.
BEMO GE 4 4 £217.00,GE 6 6 £237.00,a bit on the pricey side, that's based on a UK Company price list

If you know a good supplier Bemo models can be a lot less than that. As regards the simtrain product,it is described on railsim de as freeware quality at very high prices, a bit of an insult to some of the very good freeware out there. I would say the cost quality ratio is severely deficient on their products so far, and at this point the WIP pics don't suggest an improvement. However could be Thomson might choose this route as they have access to a bigger market, but it will still be some time away yet if they did. Having said that given Simtrains past history this might still not be ready this time next year.

I'm not sure which stock of the Samedan to Tirano line would be used on the Albula route.
The main service runs from St Moritz to Tirano using 1000v DC Motor coaches pulling ordinary or express coaches.

From Samedan the line to Pontrasina is electrified at 11000kv AC like the Albula line.
Only the new Allegra units can work over both systems

Hi
personally if it was a choice of The Chur Klosters being built by Thomson and SBB,I would pick the Thomson version,as they have a good track record when it comes to routes and stock,I think they would make a better version of it

But does it make any sense for Thomson to spend time and money building something which another company is already making?
On the other hand RSSLO built the Sudbahn which has a common section with the Semmeringbahn.
