Sorry, but I beg to differ. They are overpriced in any currency, the point being that the quality is generally quite poor.

I will definitely get it now,as the mountains could pass off as the Drakensburg Mountains Northern Natal,you could use the 6E electric locomotive and the new class 24 when it's released.

Metre gauge is slightly more than 3' 3", which is less than 1.5" difference on each wheel for a 3 '6" loco. You can't really notice it in the sim.

These screenshots are from the old Albulabahn freeware route, but I think the track is reasonably to scale and similar to the Thomson/DTG route.

I have decided to buy the route,and will have fun trying a 6E over it,until the new South African route comes out.

Good idea ! The 6E runs well and looks quite good on the old Albulabahn .

The liveries are just quick "trials" versions to "fit in" with the route.

Hi Peter,
there are no repaints of the 6E,just using the ones supplied with Natal Mainline route,what I'd like to see is the proper Shosh Alozi Myel coaches the formation is in winter loco,loco,train heating car then baggage ven then 1st,2 class,couchette,dining car,then seating cars .

I've just bee watching some freight trains on the Albula line,it;s surprising how much freight goes over the route anything from short wagon ,loco and 2 box vans,to long cement,hopper,tank,trains and mixed pick up trains.
There's quite a variety of locomotives in red,blue and green and passenger coaches,including blue restaurant car sets

All we need is the box vans, cement hoppers, tank trains, a variety of locos, red blue and green passenger coaches and we would have a great route.

In a way it's like the TGV Marseille - Avignon route where we have one type of traction & stock to operate all the services - verity is needed to provide interest.

No quite, the scenery is spectacular and very well done, this in itself makes a big difference to drive-ability. No doubt there will be rolling stock on the way, and I would think quite a few repaints of the lok. New loks, as we know these are long term projects, but I suspect they will come as the route seems to be popular.

Have you noticed that freight consists on the RhB don't seem to display a tail lamp or marker ? Also a lot of the freight seems to be double headed and it needs to be !
