It could be either a Class 73ED or possibly a class 57 Locomotive, they are the only locomotives I can think of being refurbished by Brush.

Neither of which have a 4 digit headcode box, which is what confuses me about the last picture.

The spacing of the headcode display and marker lights would suggest a Deltic.

Hmmm... intriguing.

it wouldn't be one of the Brush prototypes would it? Falcon, Lion or Kestrel?

I don't think it's any of them,as the plaque says refurbished by Brush, Brush are refurbishing some DB Schenker class 60's at present,DB Schenker need some super class 60's,

Also Brush are Refurbishing TFL Piccadilly Line Underground trains which will extend their life until 2022,so it could be one of them

There are some good guesses so far I won't be adding any input because I am the one taking the screen shots and also making the add on most of all

I can definitely say what it's not. NOT a 47 - the single headlight is too near the centreline, always offset to the right on 47s. NOT a 57, never had headcodes. NOT a 60, same reason. NOT a 73, never had 4 figure headcodes. NOT Lion, Falcon, Kestrel - marker lights are in the wrong position relative to the headcode and they weren't re-engineered by Brush. I think the Porterbrook Deltic (and more likely, Deltics in general) are the best fit so far.

I've now ruled this out on seeing from various photos that all three Brush prototypes had their marker lights almost in line horizontally with the headcode box.

They're still coming the good news is that delays mean I am way more competent at all manner of things, so the add-on shall be far more comprehensive and superb (he says).

Maybe the thread should be renamed or locked as it isn't a mystery anymore.
