.........and very nice it looks too. It's nice to see someone having a go at doing the Deltic exhaust which, of course, is unlike any other diesel exhaust, even the smell!

It's looking good, well done.

Paul

Looks and sounds great on Holloway Bank - a truly iconic loco. Like the Pullmans too - where are they from?

The coaches are from here, they're actually Brighton Belle trailer cars. I've now modified them to utilise the AP Mk1 sounds as they were near silent.

Sorry for the rather delayed bump (although I think everyone should watch and listen to that video again!).

I wanted to say that that's possibly the best clag I've ever seen in TS; and to ask, if you wouldn't mind, which files I should start poking around in if I wanted to try to do something similar myself?

Matt will no doubt reply in his own time, but I know him and Chris Barnes have spent a very long time getting it to where it is now,and I think it looks fantastic for it!

As Mark has hinted to, it isn't really a case of poking around files to make it happen. This loco is running a custom script and in place of the single emitter per exhaust that the Class 55 has as standard, this one now has 13 (I think). These all have to be set up, tweaked, have a script tell when to use which emitter, and have all of them listed as child objects within the loco config file too.

Bother - not just a case of some simple file hacking then. Well, all kudos to those involved because it looks amazing!

I didn't want to clutter up the forum with another thread, but I thought I would post here for helping those who may be watching developments over at VP.

Currently there are two sales running, one from Dovetail on Steam and one through Armstrong Powerhouse, and these both enable you to save a good chunk in preparation for the Deltic Preservation Pack.

First up is the BR Blue loco pack - not only a vital asset to give you a nose to look out of the cab over, but also contains many superb locos and a Class 105 DMU if you didn't already have it.

Down from £11.99 to £8.39 until 2nd September

Next up is a crucial add-on in our opinion at VP for immersive sounds to join the greatly improved visuals, the Class 55 Pro Sound Pack from Armstrong Powerhouse.

Currently down from £4.99 to £2.99 until 23:59 on Monday 29th August.

The final other requirement, but not currently in a sale, is for post Train Simulator 2012 users, you will need the European Loco and Stock asset pack.

Currently at its regular price of £11.99
