Hi
I think it more likely to be stock that will be missing from some of the scenario's, and unless you were able to get the Warships, then that will be missing as well.
At least if you have RW TOOLS,you will be able to swap the stock, you could use two 35's or two 37's instead.

My PC is getting a new graphics card (old one died), a GTX 970. Would that be able to run this route? The old one did an OK job with many routes but this one tended to crash quite a bit.

This is the same route, just slight adjustments to sea wall widths, a simple lichen covered pavement flagstone to mark where the TPO apparatus goes and the odd extra Royal Mail van scattered here and there. If your route ran before, even if it was iffy, it should still run.

Where you may run into problems is running a Saint, Star, Castle, TPO scenario with a lot of AI traffic and sidings full of loose consists. Those particular new GWR advanced assets use up a lot of game limited memory sources leaving little for the rest of the rolling stock and trains in the scenario. It doesn't matter if you have the best computer in the world, let alone a new graphics card, it won't make any difference to the memory issue. Top of the line i5's and i7's should be able to hang in there during a loaded TPO scenario with the settings on high or medium with only a few if any hiccups, normal computers can still hang in there if the scenarios have less loose stock and spaced out AI traffic. I don't know if the TPO is quick drive capable but that should work just fine.

Give it a shot and good luck!

If you find that a 970 doesn't run this, or any, route, then you need to upgrade something else--or make sure your configuration is tickety-boo.
A 970 is more than capable of running any route, when used with a balanced CPU/RAM of course so if the rest of your system makes the grade you'll have no bother.

You'll have no bother.

(Screen shot taken on the 1960's version of the route, but it'll give you some idea of what to expect. Running an i5-2500 with an EVGA 970 GTX (4GB vRAM))

I had no trouble with the 1960s route though. It was the 1958 route that would nobble my PC, although that was on an AMD Radeon 7570. (Although I suspect it may have done OK had it not been for all the static consists...)

I have tried creating a couple of scenarios on this excellent route going to and from Kingswear. The trouble is that no matter where I try to stop and pick up passengers at either platforms at both Kingwear or Churston I can't.

Anybody else had the same issue or know what's causing it.

I was not aware of this problem since nobody has ever uploaded a scenario for Churston and Kingswear for E2P (I only do route building and suck at scenario writing). The platforms should have their default passenger loading and unloading since I never messed with the DTG stations, but if this is a general problem I'll make a patch. If it's only your problem Brian I have no idea what would be causing it.

Mike the Churston, Brixham and Kingswear default platform loading is missing.
I have added them myself to make the stations work.
I have been working on some timetabled scenarios for the branches and discovered the problems.
The biggest issues is not being able to path multiple trains down the single line section.
Let hope TSW resolves these basic issues to allow real railway scenarios.
Thanks for all your hard work love running GWR/Western steam on this route.
The Kingswear branch had and huge number of trains from the big 4 to service the holiday trade.
Coaching stock from all 4 company's visited. Sweet
The detail and scene is inspiring and so easy to run prewar stock for a GWR feel.
