Re: Traction depot Ipswich to Norwich route
Strange, I restored the route from my recycle bin and everything is there now! So I would recommend just installing the patch rather than junking the route and re subscribing.

Re: Traction depot Ipswich to Norwich route
I too have this problem currently, it looks like a missing tile as like you say scenery continues after a mile or so.smarty2 wrote:That lasts about a mile or so then scenery returns?

Re: Traction depot Ipswich to Norwich route
I know the route has been pulled while problems are looked at, but for those currently running it, I have a question. Do sceanrio's from the original route work ok with this version? I'm hoping no route markers have been edited or removed so that they work fine, I've built up quite a collection and would be great if I could extend them to/from Norwich.
Class 40's enjoyed their working life so much they whistled whilst they worked
Re: Traction depot Ipswich to Norwich route
I wondered why the route did not download when I subscribed.
At least I now know that it has been pulled. I hope that is back soon as it seems to have great possibilities. All encouragement to the author to sort this great piece of work.

Seems like this morning's update sorted mine out - still have bugs others are reporting, but what's with the OSS at Haughley junction on the up? For no reason they tripped me! No speed boards to indicate a lower speed.
Nice extension - let's hope the bugs can be ironed out.

It's not just there you'll be halted - twice before & after Trowse bridge & again just after Diss station - tried with 2 different consists in QD. One with a class 170 & the other with class 90 +DVT. Thought it might be something to do with neutral sections, but not that. I gave the route up after the Diss stoppage. Btw on both QDs I was running ex Norwich up to London - Help please because it looks a really good route extensionhle19 wrote:Seems like this morning's update sorted mine out - still have bugs others are reporting, but what's with the OSS at Haughley junction on the up? Re: Traction depot Ipswich to Norwich route
The issue appears to be the result of the way the route references assets from WCMLTV. The signals are track linked objects and the tracks.bin file which references the signals is included in the download from Workshop. It's a bit of a pain that there should be so many signal issues since you must clearly have the dependencies required in order to be able to play the route.
Due to the way I split the route between Workshop and additional download I was expecting problems do it's no surprise. However it seems something other than incorrect installation is causing problems.
For the time being I have taken it down pending a full fix and rethought of the distribution of the additional content.

Re: Traction depot Ipswich to Norwich route
I'm wondering why the "Content", aka the route, file has to be split between Workshop and additional at all?
Why can't the whole thing go on Workshop and any additional "assets" go in a separate download?
Or have I missed something?

thats what they done on the first attempt and it didnt work as people were having problems
Re: Traction depot Ipswich to Norwich route
The contents of the Content folder are scenery and loft tiles that reference third party assets. They cannot be in the version uploaded to Steam since the route will not validate with 3rd party content in place. The only way around that is to add it back in afterwards.

Re: Traction depot Ipswich to Norwich route
Hi
I live near Norwich & am loving the route - its a really good interpretation of the real route - also love the attempt to make the London area grubbier
I think I have got everything working now, what I seemed to find was:
some files in RMills Great Eastern folder were according to RWtools required in a GEML folder- copied these assets to a GEML I created
around Manningtree some lofts were missing - copied these across from GEML route
Milk bottles aroung Liverpool street towards Shenfield were a result of Assets Thompson Network folder being required as Thompson/WCMLTrentValley/WCMLTrentValleyAssets/Network - I believe this has happened with another route when packaging that the ap file gets added into the chain of folders - I created the chain as required & copied Network assets into this
Hope this helps
Kelvin
