Hi amtrake8a,

May be silly questions, but you did copy and paste the scenarios folder to the new route, open and save the scenarios in the Scenarios/Edit Scenarios page of RW Tools and the route was Portsmouth Direct Line Updated and not the original Portsmouth Direct Line?

I have used this method on this and other routes - always worked so far.

I did, and what ended up happening was the second time I ran the game after performing your method, I was able to see the scenarios and I'm currently in the middle of one!

Odd how the simulator works... Thanks Rod.

I copied some scenarios from the original to the updated version and then opened them in RW Tools and saved them as suggested. For some strange reason they now appear twice in the updated version within the scenario list of TS2016. Also the ones I copied no longer appear in the scenario list for the original.Cannot understand why.

I'm gonna go with duplicate GUIDs again....it can't let me down twice, surely???

It would certainly be nice to pin down just what is getting changed with Rods method, if only to be able to give those who it doesn't work for really detailed but complicated instruction for a manual edit....or even to come up with an alternative.
Could one of those with the scenarios not showing in the updated route or duplicates in the updated route try cutting/pasting the scenarios from the original to the new rather than a copy?
Of course making sure you've a way back if it all goes pointy bits up.

I've settled on copying across the scenarios, then cloning them with slightly different names. Yes, I get duplicates but the different names make it easy to identify the cloned one from the original and delete the original that was copied from the PDL route.

Yes Ash. that's the way to do it. If you open and save them in RW Tools without cloning them they will keep the original ID which is then still duplicated. Clone them with different names, delete the ones you copied and you shouldn't have any problems as the cloned scenarios will have a new ID.

I'm sorry but I am confused.

Even though I have subscribed to this route on the Steam workshop,
I cannot seem to see it anywhere.

I have the PDL with a GUID of 00000015 (and then all zeros)
and
I have the PDL (DPS) with a GUID of 0f090cba-2f1e-4110-a0c2-2ac143b943d3.

Is this latter one this new updated route?

The duplicate issue seems to have sorted today. I moved them rather than copy as I don't want to double up the scenarios and bust the scenario DB limit and have the sim not starting. Any that won't work will just get copied back to the original

Hi

I decided to move my scenarios over (cut & paste ).I opened and saved some scenarios in RWtools, ( AP scenario packs AP20 & AP23 ) ,but only some of these scenarios appear in TS2016,others do not.

Anyone know why this is happening ?

See Alan's and my post above - this method works reliably. :)

Hi Ash

I tried your method with one of the AP20 scenarios, but when I launched TS2016,I found that PDL Updated had disappeared completely from Standard Scenarios.

I went back to RWtools and deleted the cloned scenario, launched TS2016 again, and PDL Updated re-appeared in Standard Scenarios - very strange

It seems that some of the AP scenarios are just not compatible for some reason.

Don't know what's happening (or not in this case) but this route just will not download from Steam for me.

Have unsubscribed, re-subscribed (a few times), re-started Steam, re-started TS, and still nothing.

Any ideas chaps please?

Could be the Steam sale clogging up the servers, although I had a sale item download and install this evening. I assume you have gone into the Workshop tab in TS2016 so that the route installs.

EDIT

I've just subscribed and the Workshop screen in TS2016 said the route was downloading followed by decompressing - its now showing as installed.
