Ok so what am I doing wrong?

I copied over the contents of the scenario folder from my original PDL and moved it into the updated version.

All I have showing is 3 scenarios and all the others are not appearing. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong please as the route really does look like a breath of fresh air.

Any help appreciated

Thanks

To add: The scenarios all show in RW Tools as being present too

That could be because of duplicate GUIDs Brian. A quick test would be to cut the original route's scenario folder out of the game, then start the game up and clear the cache before looking for the scenarios in the updated route.

Using RW tools scenario editor open each scenario then save it (you don't need to change anything in the scenario). The scenarios then appear in the game.

Thank you for doing the work on this route especially adding the scenery to unsceneryed (not a word, but hopefully you know what I mean) sections it is much appreciated.

On this one, Rod wins the prize :drinking: ... Gary its the wooden spoon for you  . I tried both as Rod's method is quite time consuming for 146 scenarios but Gary's appeared quicker. Sadly that had no effect, so as the saying goes, I may be some time with Rod's method but am itching to try this route out

Well...you can't win 'em all :(

Sort of related though, and if it pans out may make the job a little easier....do the errant scenarios show in the 'Build' section in-game? If so loading one in the games editor and making a change (add and immediately delete any old Item of rolling stock) then clicking the orange "Drive" arrow and accepting the save prompt may have the same effect as a save in RW Tools. This way you could end up straight into driving rather than having to switch programs.

No, none of them showed in-game at all... However they do now though it was weary... Still gave me a chance to watch GoT

So having completed Rod's method of getting the scenarios to show up, I ran a random scenario from my library and all I can say is wow... Benedict you really have made an old route look great (whats next   )

So I thought I would add a screenshot I took too for anyone that was wondering whether or not to download the upgrade and my machine is getting on a bit now so it probably doesnt do it great justice but I love it. Thanks for sharing the update.

It does take a while using RW Tools (I knew it did - just didn't want to put anyone off 8) ) but it is well and truly worth it for this stunning reworking.

Totally up to date in standard and loving the newly sceneried parts!

A bit late now, but I wonder whether deleting the ScenarioDB.bin, forcing a new one to be built would have the same effect

I did try Rod's method, and I still don't see scenarios for the Updated route.

What could I have done wrong?

Hi amtrake8a,

May be silly questions, but you did copy and paste the scenarios folder to the new route, open and save the scenarios in the Scenarios/Edit Scenarios page of RW Tools and the route was Portsmouth Direct Line Updated and not the original Portsmouth Direct Line?

I have used this method on this and other routes - always worked so far.
