Reverting to default game audio settings

Post by amtrake8a »

I bought AP's Wherry Lines during the sale (and it was well worth the purchase!), and I set the game's audio settings to what was recommended in the route's manual. However, I would like to revert to the default audio settings as I find they work best with my other add-ons.

Would anyone know how to do this? Or, can someone please take a screenshot of their audio settings, provided you never changed them (other than muting the menu music and enabling/disabling EFX)?

If you look in the Content folder, you should find a file called PlayerProfiles.bin. If you rename it (something like PlayerProfiles_current.bin), TS will see it as missing, and will start with 'clean', default settings, creating a new .bin file. You can then see what it's got for audio, rename your old .bin file back, and change the settings.

You can also open and edit this file using RWTools or RWTextEdit (or just serz.exe, I suspect) and copy/paste values between files. I keep several versions of the file and drag'n'drop them onto a batch file so that I can easily switch between different settings (such as windowed and full screen).

Thank you, I think that may have worked.

In case anyone is interested, attached is a screen capture of the default audio settings.
