Nobody discovered the opening cab window or the dimmable reading lamp mentioned on the German forums? presumably these are some or all of the easter eggs Maik talked about. Just away to install now.
Scenario here already http://rail-sim.de/forum/wsif/index.php ... -vR-BR101/

Correction scenario twin pack

I wonder what version do these scenarios require? It says vrot (which could mean both IC and ICE are ok), but at rail-sim. de they say the 101s in these packages are different and install into different directories...

One question - are the TrafficRed vehicles in the ICE and IC versions the exact same locomotive?

You have created a bundle for all BR151 variants. So why not?

Also, would be awesome if someone releases all DTG scenarios packaged in routes that use the old Kuju/RSC/DTG BR101 to use the new vR version in the IC package - with reworked schedules and timings to accommodate the new physics. Using standard mode where possible and if the scenario is career only it will be standard for the 101EL. Maybe a sound update for the old 101 to use the vR sound is great too.

Look again and you will see a clue in the stuerwagen that is listed after the lok in the requirements at the bottom of the description.
Tycoon; No they are not, the loks that work with the metropolitan coaches have slight differnces.

I don't need to look again - I did see that. But listing it separately after the loco could mean the version from BR 120 is used...

If they are slightly different then I'm assuming they have a different entry name in the world and QD editor.

They install into different folders so yes they have different names in the world editor, don't ask me what, I haven't looked.

BR151 is a different story.

Replacing all Kuju ones in a scenario could be problematic. I would prefer to just replace the player driven consist and let the Kujus in there as AI. The vR lcos mainly developed to be the player driven train for users with higher needs.

No go for the sound use on the Kuju ones. Why should we spend our work into DTGs products and raise their quality for free? No way. We discuss a possible AI version of our 101 with lower texture sizes and stripped ebula to lower the memory usage. Then you can replace all Kujus with our loco. Should work at all. But not yet i guess. Try it.

I don't have it. In fact I really meant only having the vR version used as a player train whereas the existing ones are remaining as AI trains. It is not necessary to do an AI 101 as many users will own the TTB Scenariopack, which features a low-polygon BR101. The DTG sound upgrade I was talking about would be done by a third party and would involve copying some bin files over.

One thing that I want to also point out is if this package http://www.virtual-railroads.de/wagons/ ... -bpmz.html is the same as the ones in the BR120 and BR101 packss, but both are updated to the current standards.

For such a sound pack you would already need to own the vR BR101. In that case, why do a sound mod of the Kuju/DTG version, instead of just swapping it in scenarios?
For use in AI trains perhaps??

I like the idea of a scenario pack where the old BR101 is replaced by the vR version in all player trains.
I also have some workshop scenarios which I would like to redo with the renewed BR101...

Cheers,

Correct. it will be excellent if the default Munich-Augsburg, Hamburg-Hannover, Koln-Konlenz, and Munich-Rosenheim BR101 scenarios are replaced with the vR version, with converstion to standard mode and reworked timetables where necessary.

The sound mod of the Kuju/DTG/TTB versions is ideal because of their frequent use as AI trains.

Great loco! One question though... when I am braking and my speed is going to reach 0, I hear something like Tuerfrei..something. Anybody knows what it is? Is it something with the doors, the loco is trying to tell me I can open them?

If so, is there a way to turn this one off? I wanted to use the 101 as a freight loco as well, not sure this message would fit such a usage ;)

The doors release automatically below a certain speed, I think, but am not certain that this is only on the old system. You get this warning on the sim in other loks as well, but I think only when you have a compatible passenger train. Have you actually tried it on a freight train. I haven't yet, but I suspect the lok is scripted to account for this. I doubt Maik would miss something so obvious.
