I would not necessarily recommend that - in this special case and generally ;)
Although the landscape obviously didn't change very much since the 1990s, track infrastructure, the stations and their surroundings are extremely boring today and create an almost depressive atmosphere at some places - especially at Chemnitz. The reconstruction of the station hall itself and the integration of the tram station into the western part of the hall is a rather successful urbanistic and architectonical approach. But the rest - innumerable ruins, few remaining tracks... All that maybe not very desirable to see in the simulated world.
Many of our german simulation colleagues seem to be quite masochistic - they have to see all this misery in real life every day and still like to recreate it in the simulator
German route builders tend to waste their precious time in creating modern era routes, DTG does the same. We have some of them right now, and most of them are rather boring in an operational sense...

cheers,
Heiko :)

Chris have a read throught the topic http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 1&t=144381 to see what you need to do to reactivate your account, it is relatively simple. The BR132/232 was also released on steam by DTG built by VR. The VR proper one is the better of the two as the steam one was built to DTG spec, and of updates became an issue with the DTG version.
Heiko, I tend to agree, but it is the same here as well in real life. We are just lucky that Nostalgia is still quite strong in the British TS community. Luckily Dirk and Scheinenbus are not Masochists, and there do seem to be a couple of other older era projects bubbling away

After a lot of substituting stock got a scenario to run to test the route. Not a long run but very impressive nonetheless

The DTG Baureihe 86 is perfect for the branch lines around Freiberg. At last a route for this excellent steam engine.

Just checked I am on the new 3DZUG site but cannot buy anything.

Also sure I already have a DB132 or DB 232 somewhere - who else might have sold it other than VR?
If you don't have the BR132 or BR 232 from VR then there is a BR 232 from Steam which you might have..

I don't bother getting the exact correct DR Stock from anyone - I will happily swap for current DB Stock to run the scenarios over this line.

There is also some freebie content for our East German routes, excellently built and very worthwhile obtaining, 3 coaches and 6 old diesel locomotives, download them from here.

The coaches are actually West German Steve, they are the freeware version of Heiko's excellent umbauwagens.
A patch is underway to fix the bridge loft for those affected. Should appear in a couple of days.

Yes, you're quite correct Sir, I thought being old and green and what looked like DR on the label, they were DDR coaches, well spotted, I must get these glasses cleaned......

Looking forward to the patch.

I ran a very enjoyable scenario Freight from Niederwiesa to KMS-Glösa a short 25 min run.
It keeps you on your toes as you start on a rising gradient and the line is up and down most of the way round so it's either power or brake. :)

But I found a Wheely Bin just before the bridge over the main lines outside the station. :o
Wheely bin.jpg
A quick visit to the editor to delete it.
That slanted bit of stonework was also there but I could not work out how to select it.

The bin is known about and will be fixed, unfortunatley the first fix for the bridge loft hasn't worked. It is from the UKTS pack, I have a feeling there was an issue before on another route a long time ago, but could be wrong.

No glitch this time. Updated to V2.01

Changes between version V2.01 and V2.0
There are no changes on the rail-network. All scenarios should be 100% compatible.
- In the scenario "D 577 from Riesa to Karl-Marx-Stadt", I changed the DB-logo with the DR-logo.
- The problematic viaduct between Hilbersdorf and Kuechwald has been changed to another model.
- The blue Dumpster at the RAW-bridge has been removed.
- Unnecessary files in the route folder has been removed.
- Milepost in Freiberg has been moved to another position.
- Terminal building in Hilbersdorf has been changes to a more realistic model by the user "ice".
