Quote from the TS2016 manual. "Unauthorised copying,
adaptation, rental, re-sale, arcade use, charging for use, broadcast, cable transmission,
public performance, distribution or extraction of the product or any trademark or copyright
work that forms part of this product is prohibited. Developed and published by DTG. The full
credit list can be accessed from the TS2016 ""Options"" menu."

What do you think the word adaptation means in the context of how it is mentioned here, ie people modifying a DTG file or route etc. or somebody adapting texture files because they don't like the colour of the water or sky or even the railway tracks.

Well, we certainly haven't received any clarification of DTG position on free reskins produced, so until such time I would suggest nothing has changed.

If you want a genuine answer, then you could ask the actual people concerned rather than asking for guesses and supposition on here. I know which will get you a more truthful answer.

I highly suspect that by that they mean taking the game engine and base code renaming it or with very small changes then selling it as your own work. That is how I interpret it anyway.

Dose not worry me in the least as I don't do those kind of things. Just asking how other people interpretive these rules and if they are aware of them. :) A person on another TS site was always boosting about with screenshots on the site how they had adapted TS to look the way that they wanted. After this had been posted they have removed all there screenshots.

yeah because we all do things and release them gratis, so assume they would start to be concerned if we were all down the speedboat shop every other day

The operative word is "Unauthorised"; RSDL/RSC/DTG have at least tacitly supported user adaptations/reskins if not implicitly having done so. It's a pretty usual clause in any EULA so nothing to get concerned about.
