The 175 is looking good but the doors don't look quite right. The pictures give the impression that the doors are set in from the bodyside when in fact they should be flush. It might just be the pictures but if not then it is a very big error that is very obviously wrong.
I'm not sure. The 175s do have a very thick black rubber strip round the door which may be causing the effect in game but I agree, some of those do look like they are not flush.
I have raised the issue on RSC Facebook page and also with a friend who is a tester - he says it is released for testing on Friday so he shall take a close look then and advise them accordingly.

The doors do actually look wrong as well on the clay render but I never spotted it at the time.

As usual people have said that they wish that it went further or via so and so, but, nobody has, as far as I can see, made mention that DTG have actually reduced the length of the route.
.
The Severn Tunnel was always just under 4.5 miles (4ml 624yds) bur in two DTG blog things they state that it is only 2.5 miles, admittedly the section under the river is about 2.5miles but the tunnel itself is a lot longer
.
Therefore if they did extend to say Swansea, would they make it fit into 15miles ??

So basically until somebody actually sees what's been done, we don't know if the tunnel is *short* or whether DTG are useless at writing about what they're doing.

That article doesn't really tell us anything.
Repeated mentions of "ATW units being hired in to FGW" suggests the class 175 may be used on Cardiff to Bristol scenarios. Quite bizarre!

I'm not too pleased with the Class 70 present in the shots, as it may be standalone from the existing Class 70 DLC, thus rendering them incompatible with Workshop scenarios that utilize the older version. Even though the route is already covered by the Just Trains Western Mainlines this route DLC should be good for the broader Steam userbase and the rolling stock.

Quite, I imagine that is how they are going to make the excuse for the 175 operating Bristol to Cardiff.
I would imagine that if/when ATW hire units to FGW they wouldn't hire out their flagship unit to them, especially as presumably FGW drivers wouldn't be passed to drive them. Surely they would loan them Pacers or Sprinters of which FGW have in their fleet and their drivers would have knowledge of.
The 175 looks good and I am sure the route will be well modelled, however it seems an odd choice when there are some very iconic routes where the 175 would be at home on, NWC, Welsh Marches etc.

RW Tools.
Once again a screenshot leads to unfounded *scaremongering*---the class 70, if indeed it is included with the route, could follow the pattern used on the 378 with North London Lines and install into the same folder structure as the original pack, completely avoiding any issues with older scenarios.

I will have to dig out the South West Wales Route to give it a run when released

If FGW hire in anything it's most probably would be a 150 or at a stretch 142 due to drivers knowledge as far as I know they haven't worked East of Newport

Once again DTG can't get the details right.
Wipers are also incorrect.

If I recall the same poster made the same point when the North London lines were announced.
