It appears DTG will be building a route with all the track covered on this JT route...

Well, if you exclude the short spurs of Exeter to Bristol and Paddington to Bristol LOL.

You are spectacularly wrong.

Isn't it a strange old world - to me tycoonkid9 's quote made perfect sense and was correct, yet when I read delticoo9's comment his makes sense too!
Think I'm going flightsimming until the trainsim world becomes a clearer place for my tired just-got-in-from-work-brain!

This sounds interesting! With DTG making a Class 175 this route will give it somewhere to run, I'll defo be buying this.

Will this route run via the Rivera Line or does it branch of? If my memory serves me correctly I think it doesn't as it branches of somewhere and the Rivera Line goes in another direction, I'm not sure though. Would be cool to do HST runs from Paddington to Cardiff

No the Riviera splits off down the line at Newton Abbot, but that's not to say you can't do Paddington to Paignton.

There is at least one or more HST that does Paddington - Paignton via Bristol. Paddington to Exeter via BTM on JT's route, then Exeter to Paignton on RSC's Riviera route

Taken off the Just Trains website:
Western Mainlines: Paddington-Bristol, Bristol-Cardiff and Bristol-Exeter

Set in the years between 2013 and 2015, Western Mainlines consists of three newly developed routes from the terminus station of London Paddington to Bristol, from Bristol to Cardiff and from Bristol to Exeter, all connected seamlessly together in this one pack. Featuring both the south lines through Box Tunnel and the northern lines via Bristol Parkway, as well as the lines to Oxford, Western Mainlines features 60 stations and numerous new custom assets along with a set of 16 extensive scenarios. The route is Quick Drive enabled.

Paddington to Bristol - this line is the main route running East-West in southern England. Starting from its grand London terminus at Paddington, it runs out to Bristol and from there to Cardiff in Wales and south-west from Bristol to Exeter in this simulation. The line is largely non-electrified, but in the late 1990s the section from Paddington to Heathrow Airport was electrified. There are plans to electrify all of the route but this work is taking time and has been beset by numerous delays.

Bristol to Cardiff - the route from Bristol to Cardiff is part of the South Wales Main Line and continues the westward journey. It breaks away from the main Paddington-Bristol line at Royal Wootton Bassett and continues under the River Severn using the Severn Tunnel. There are plans to electrify the whole route but, again, there have been numerous delays.

Bristol to Exeter
- the line from Bristol to Exeter is a major branch of the line from Paddington to Bristol and runs south-west from Bristol.

Route features

• Route class: Modern
• Route length: Over 300 miles in total
• 60 stations
• Beautifully detailed and immersive scenery along the Thames Valley and down to Exeter
• Includes 16 standard and 9 free roam scenarios

• Just Trains all-new modern LED signals
• Just Trains all-new Overhead Catenary (OHLE)

Important! If you purchased Train Simulator after 20 September 2012 then you will require the European Loco & Asset Pack (available to purchase via Steam) for the route to display correctly.

I don't think it's changed since I first looked, though of course it may have been much less of an informative page when Ash first posted about it. Looks very interesting, though I just hope it goes *right*, the problems many had with Newcastle to Edinburgh and Kyle took away the shine from those routes.

As much as this route sounds great I don't think I am a fan of these long routes I don't fancy sitting there for 180 minutes driving a hst on a express run. And before someone says save it and return to it I know you can do that but that has been proven to cause problems in the past with AI etc etc. Think I will pass on this one the dtg edition will get my vote This dies look good though but at I resent a 180 minute drive is to much for me

I don't mean that. I'm saying who is telling you that you MUST sit for 180 minutes? You don't have to run a scenario for its entirety if you don't want to.
