just knocked up a new scenario Carlisle-Preston,on the route WCML Over Shap. ran 1st go without AI. so no conflicts there. then around the six mile mark from Penrith my 1st passing place on route. I get a flashing double yellow, next a flashing single yellow, then a yellow with feather and sent into a loop with a 40 mph restriction.then a green at the end of the loop and back out onto main line! with no stopping it made it interesting but strange that the editor choose this path. :o

the rest of the run was faultless. by the way the asset I used to make the trip with was the class59.

If you set the player priority to a freight one there's your issue as a freight the dispatcher will send you into loops even if there is no other traffic

No prob hope you get it to work ok. If you want to run as freight priority to allow a passenger train to leave first just leave it as freight and just add a go via marker on the main and all should be well

I had a similar problem with a free roam run from Carstairs to Carlisle with a class 86 & Mk3 set.
Whizzing down Beatock at 100mph on Greens I notice the F3 suddenly pop up a 40 speed restriction and the computer routed the train in to the Up loop but only having passed what would have been a double yellow.
Emergency brake and inside at 60+ mph :o

One of the reasons I like Quick Drive to road learn with.

I had something similar on Riviera in the 50's.

This was an express passenger from Exeter to Kingswear and for some reason it sent me into the loop (15 mph) at Goodrington. And this train was definately set as express passenger.

Another question, how do you get an express service to use the lower non EPS speed limits, the only way I have found Is to set the train at an express freight, but then I have to set local services also as freights otherwise they will get priority over my express.

Well, you could always change the speed limits in the scenario to non EPS ones.
