Tweeted DTG this morning asking any more info, this was the response - "Indefinite delay, still in the pipeline though!" I assume licensing issue but why tease us to then postpone it. :-?

Development can run into issues that cannot be foreseen, even at a late stage.
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

I'm sure they didn't anticipate the problem when they issued the "teaser". I fail to believe that they would do it deliberately.

I'm sure they didn't expect that when they 'teased' us with the SWT 159! Looking forward to seeing the 68, one day.

I was driving and only saw it from a far. But there appears to be a works/TMD at Longport in Stoke, I could see even from the dual carriage way for a split second. The distinctive shape and bold Scot rail livery of a 68 sat in their yard.

Looks like it is back on track :D

The ScotRail Class 68 for Train Simulator will feature the modern safety and eco-friendly systems found on the locomotive including an automatic sander with cancellation ability, train length controls plus the Day Guard System which automatically shuts the engine down when not in use. The ScotRail Class 68 will also feature authentic sounds recorded from 68015 at the Chiltern Railways Depot in Wembley, London.

Included with the ScotRail Class 68 will be the locomotive in ScotRail Saltire livery complete with ScotRail Saltire Mk2 coaches and a selection of Career scenarios for the Edinburgh to Glasgow route.

The highly anticipated Class 68 for Train Simulator is coming very soon, keep an eye out for updates!

You've got to laugh at DTG's propensity for bull...
Since the Class 59 entered the UK there hasn’t been an end to the number of fantastic locomotives built around the world for service on Britain’s Railways, a number of manufacturers including EMD & Bombardier have put traction to the rails in the UK and now Vossloh have joined the list
Something to be ashamed / embarrassed about, really... :-(
With 5000 gallon fuel tanks
Really...!?

They mistook litres for gallons.

Excellent news and much anticipated add on

Glad dtg contacted chiltern to record actual class 68 sounds for this it will be epic. Just wonder how long until certain people who always shout the usual "AP sound pack" appear and ignore the fact dtg are using actual sounds. Yet no doubt they will still be able to find fault and say AP would record better sounds even if used the same loco

That ain't number 5!

68006 and 68007 are in spotty livery.

Awesome, really looking forward to hearing this! I am hoping they have also captured the AC inverter and traction motor sounds, as well as separate exterior and interior sounds.
