First - They've been given permission from Chiltern to use their livery, so their "BIG" announcement will be the Chiltern Mainline route London - Birmingham. (Technically would be the first long route from DTG, wouldn't it? Someone correct me...)
Second - They've not been given permission from Chiltern so are releasing the 68 in Chiltern colours but would be sold as a 68 pack perhaps?
Obviously, I'm just speculating. Now back on topic, that 68 looks great!

Company logos rather than liveries are what requires licensing - hence the FWS Class 60/67s which are otherwise a perfect replica of the colour scheme - luckily for Dovetail, Chiltern have never had branding on either the 67s nor 68s. Whether we will get a route I don't know, because we have seen plenty of shots of Scotrail examples on a route already existing - it would be very unusual to have sets of scenarios for two routes, particularly when one is a previously unseen route.
The image has now been pulled from the Facebook page, but that could be due to an incorrect caption saying Scotrail.

Now if the class 68 was released in Chiltern livery with Chiltern route then I would be up for buying it, as it is in scot-rail for an existing route then probably not, they can't please everyone I guess.

Sorry but on your route comment your speculation where have the announced there doing that route. Until it is confirmed by dtg I would not get to excited. There are loads of things that could be a big announcement so until it's official I would not speculate

Marylebone - Snow Hill would be long by TS2016 standards, but not hugely longer than Glasgow - Carlisle. Maybe Marylebone - Oxford would be an alternative? There's a 68 diagram on that.

Why are you saying sorry?
DTG confirmed via twitter yesterday, you can check out their twitter feed for confirmation, so I will get excited.

Banbury rather than Oxford surely? Unless of course you meant Oxford Parkway.

It must have been a slip-up of DTG, as this screenshot has been removed from his facebook wall.

By the fact remains, it was in game and they made it - here's hoping.

Um, no! They said they had a highly requested route in the pipeline - which could be anything

Maybe it is a product (reskin) for the marketplace in the future.

Well yeah, Oxford Parkway, but this will reach Oxford soon enough, and Train sim builders have beaten the real railways before - look at GARL....

Having an unbranded Chiltern Class 68 is certainly better than none! I would love to see a DRS version, if the license cannot be acquired it would be best to simply have that unbranded as well. I feel the DRS may work well with the AP MK2Fs from the Wherry Lines route.
