There's a few DVT reskins available here: http://www.dpsimulation.org.uk/mungods.html

Yes there is Chilten reskin for the AP DVT on DPS, It is for the universal version I think. If you want to use this skin on the GEML version and drive the DVT with a class 68 pushing, you need to change "electric" to "diesel" in the.bin file of the cloned Geml one. If you just want to drive the Class 68 ,with the DVT trailing, no need to amend anything.749006 wrote:Is there a Chiltern reskin available for the DVT - I saw the stock but could not find a matching DVT.Springer6 wrote:Bought the Class 68 and answered my own question. Yes it does work with the Mk 3 DVT ! So off to Birmingham from Marlyebone soon.Springer6 wrote:Sorry if this has been covered before, but will the DTG Class 68 operate push/pull with the AP Waggonz Mk3 DVT (univeral ).
If so, it would be very useful in the Chiltern repaint version for the "Chiltern Mainline & The West Midlands" route i.e UKTS 33676
The DRS and Chiltern reskins are very good.
A great consist for the excellent Chilten Mainline and West Midlands route

Re: DTG Class 68
Hi all,
I'd like to add an update to my previous problem with the headlight settings when using two Class 68's in a top-and-tail formation.
I think I've been able to resolve the problem.
Whilst in the front cab, I set the headlights to setting 2 (front headlights and rear tail lights).
I then switched to the rear cab and then straight back to the front cab.
It looks to me like the rear locomotive replicates the headlight setting from the front locomotive and the switching of cabs "copies" the headlight setting across, if that makes sense - I don't know whether this is prototypical or a glitch.
I then notice from the exterior view that both locomotives have the same headlight set-up, but the opposite way round:-
Front locomotive - headlights on the front with tail lights on the rear (hidden by the coaching stock).
Rear locomotive - tail lights on the front with headlights on the rear (hidden by the coaching stock).
Hope this helps.
Kind regards.

Re: DTG Class 68
But you shouldn't have the tail/head lights on at the ends of the loco next to the coaches---try headlight setting 4
Re: DTG Class 68
Could someone give me more specific info, on where in the DPS multiple reskin categories, the Chiltern DVT re-skin is?

I've tried all the settings that i can think of to get it to work, but it just won't play ball. Not to worry.gptech wrote:But you shouldn't have the tail/head lights on at the ends of the loco next to the coaches---try headlight setting 4

When the scenario loads and you're in the cab of the leading loco, immediately switch to the rear loco and turn the tail lights on.TElsmore wrote:I've tried all the settings that i can think of to get it to work, but it just won't play ball
Now switch back to the lead one and turn the headlights on.

That doesn't work either
While it does put the tail lights of the trailing loco on, its at the inner end (facing coaches). The senario won't even load now, so i've had no option but to give up! You've gotta love TS and it's unpredictability!!!

Re: DTG Class 68
Which scenario is it?....if it now won't load it's possible that the lighting *fault* lies there rather than being a loco problem.
EDIT: Is this the default model or a reskin?---If a reskin, and if the default can be made to work OK, then it suggests *less than optimal* editing of the reskin's .bin file.

Re: DTG Class 68
Hi Gary. I just re-installed the scenario (2P06 06.52 Norwich-Great Yarmouth UKTS 35809) for the Wherry Lines, and it loads up again, but still get the sam issue, it uses the default Scotrail 68. It's not the end of the world, just a little nigling, but i've moved on if you look in the 'DTG flash sale' thread! Ha ha ha!!

Re: DTG Class 68
is there a way of changing a loco number for the DRS reskin, and getting the correct nameplate? I've tried changing a number, but the nameplate doesn't accordingly change.
Re: DTG Class 68
You really need to ask this on the page you downloaded the reskin from as the author will no best how they have set it up.37180sirdyfed wrote:is there a way of changing a loco number for the DRS reskin, and getting the correct nameplate? Re: DTG Class 68
When you changed the number, was there a letter in there that you left alone?
If the nameplates are denoted by letters then changing 68001a to 68002a (as examples) will change the number but not the name.
