I read on RWA DTG usually tend to make routes not too long based on player statistics (Most players play under 60 minutes at a time)
You do notice that the length of the route seems to be based on the end to end time rather than the route mileage.

They look better than I ever recall MSTS looking - that's why I was wondering which simulator it actually was! :-)

Ah, well it depended a lot on the quality of the work being photographed - Marc and Co's work was and remains second to none :-) - careful lighting and good textures on the stock helped too.

Framerates are better in TS2016 though!

With an eye to comments posted by DTG on Facebook regarding the route being nearly finished, and the general amount of publicity around this route at the moment, my bet is on a release this week :D

Hopefully with the California Zephyr as a twin-pack, or included :)

I'm astonished to see MSTS looking so good ! :D If other routes and stock could look as good as your screen shots, it might be worth taking a look at MSTS, with it's greater selection of and longer routes.

Well I just now noticed that not only does it have a fancy wallpaper picture in the TS menu screen, but that this wallpaper also mentions the release date: Monday 15th!

Something to look forward to for next week.

I'm wondering if there will still be a twin-pack with the California Zephyr, so I'm waiting a little bit still before purchasing - anyway I can't play until tonight ;-)

Railworks America is holding a screenshot contest, which can give you a good chance of winning it for free.

Has any one installed James Friedland's "Feather River Oroville Challenge Scenario # UKST 35251 and after starting, been able to complete the first two or three tasks, going through the Oroville Wye East leg along the track before reaching the Southern Pacific Interchange without the scenario coming to an abrupt end stating that there is an AI collision at ---------- (sorry I can't remember what Lat & Long it mentioned at the time) ? I've tried a couple of times now without success at getting past this stage. Am I doing something wrong?

It has finished. They are giving away 9 codes for the route for the best 9 screenshots.

I made a short shunting scenario for this very nicely sceniced route several days ago, but I am unable to upload it to the Workshop as I get a reply saying the route is not yet available. But the route shows up in the Workshop list, but there are no scenarios for it. I contacted DTG and got an email back saying it is a problem that they are working through with Steam.
Strange how the Maglev route is okay for adding scenarios to, when it came available for sale about a week later.
