Nice article in the new engine driver website about this forth coming piece of DLC http://train-simulator.com/the-dual-mod ... omment-141

Great to hear they have used actual sounds from the selhurst unit so no need for a additional sound pack

Some info on the upcoming pack with many more screenshots.

The good news is that the diesel/electric power-mode appears to be switchable ingame.

EDIT: Where on earth did Ross's post come from? I swear it wasn't there before.

This is now looking Nice :)

They have corrected the windows on the front of the 73, the power handles now look correct and I suspect they may work correctly (dual power), and they have changed the doors on the RH side of the GLV.

I'm getting this one :) :)

that looks very impressive indeed! the class 73 ED is my most favourite locomotives and I have been waiting for this for a while so I really hope they do it justice, so far looking at that article it looks like they have!

Ooh, can't wait for this one - think it'll be a buy-on-the-day-of-release purchase for me. The potential for scenarios with CIGs, VEPs, 319s, 455s, EPBs is immense.

Looking good, nice to see such a positive response to feedback. Think I will be investing in this one myself.

Looks a whole lot better seems they have taken on board the feedback, the 73 does look really good now and it looks to me they have sorted the window depth on the MK2F's may now purchase this !!

I have in the past been a bit sceptical about them actually taking on board criticism on WIP screenshots but I'm very glad that they did listen here, and rework the models to be correct!

Yes on the mk2 windows, remember these newer models with potentially passenger views and higher resolution textures could be ideal for a newer set of reskkns that are also Workshop compatible as a bonus.

i wonder as they were fixed sets so to speak would there be a rear dynamic light??

The Mk2e vehicles were treated by the Southern region as 2 & 3 coach sets which were bar coupled within the sets.
Only the ends of the sets had air pipes and MU jumpers so there is no need for a rear light on these coaches as they never ran without another vehicle at the rear - although a bracket was provided for emergency use.

Only prob I can see with reskins on these is the pipework exclusively on the Gatwick set compared with with standard 2F's unless of course they have been left out ;) I do notice though that on the FO there should be two toilets on the same side and not one at each end like the TSO's... folk really do need to do research, fair play to who does the default MK1's though really nice and accurate stock shame BR Blue doesn't get more variants ;)
