Hmm,
I call foul, from the lines of the curves to the textures you can see in the cab these are obviously derived from the same source

Are the lines of the curves modelled accurately, in either model?

If they say it's in house, then I suppose it's in house. Remember the discussion about the 455 and whether it was Thomson's old one and it indeed turned out to be Dovetail's own model. I doubt they would state it was in house if it wasn't.
Just a though, as the models in the back catalogue Dovetail have at their disposal, could it quite possibly be the case that some of those models are now too old in the tooth to be brought up to reasonable 2016 standards?

Ah yes. Thanks! Ross said Engine Driver which is why I couldn't find it.
But I'm with Dave on this one, it's going to take some close inspection to be convinced entirely. Having said that, the shot we've seen of the DTG one does appear to have a better profile than the previous model.

I really don't mind about it's heritage, curious yes. I just want to be able to drive it and enjoy it in-game.
Please get it right DTG

I'm pretty convinced it's going to be a good model...this thread is 4 pages long and there's still no real criticism of it.

The 73 looks a pretty decent model, the MK2F's look dodgy, the windows are too deep, shouldn't be down to the white... why o why do RS & DTG constantly keep getting MK2 stock wrong !!

or does the white extend too far up??

Possibly because they're just reskinning the Kuju coaches...if the original base model is *wrong* then all subsequent reskins will have those faults.

Looks like the window dimensions come from the Mk2/2A's which had deeper windows than the aircon stock Edit: wonder if the trainset is new with the loco from another source.

Maybe a bit of both, those windows are definitely too deep.

The base models are ok but for the BSO/BFK guard windows with the vertical bars, the original RS sim ones were ok bar not having the blue line between the roof and the grey, someone reskinned them and they appeared in one of the UKTS packs, I use those, there's not a lot of difference in quality against the newer model, we need a third party to produce some full rake correct BR Blue Era stock, but it just ain't coming

Looking very nice!
The GLV is certainly an improvement on the previous model.
